Recent Game Summaries
2018 Week 16 vs NE (7 / 33 / 0 rush, 4 / 2 / 14 / 0 rec)
Keith Ford received the "start" against the New England Patriots after LeSean McCoy was disciplined and missed the first snap. Ford maintained a secondary role after McCoy returned to the game but finished tied with McCoy with 9 touches. Ford was elevated from the practice squad two weeks ago after injuries plagued Buffalo's running back depth chart. Ford is a pedestrian athlete, but capable of running between the tackles and catching the ball out of the backfield. He will look to continue producing quality play on tape next week against Miami as he continues to make a case for a 2019 roster spot.
2018 Week 15 vs DET (14 / 46 / 0 rush, 1 / 1 / 7 / 0 rec)
Keith Ford took over after Marcus Murphy left with an injury. Ford was elevated from the practice squad this week and saw an extended opportunity with LeSean McCoy and Chris Ivory both missing the game with injuries. Ford is a bigger back and Buffalo used him on simple interior run schemes. Ford struggled when forced to change direction on interior runs but was serviceable running north and south. He also caught a pass in the flat from the slot and made a nice play to elude a defender on a screen pass that was called back by penalty. Ford will face New England next week, but the status of McCoy and Ivory is critical to watch during the week.
