Week 12: at Tennessee Titans
FBG says: Good matchup. Nick Foles had a bumpy return from injury in the Jaguars' loss against Indianapolis last week, but all things considered, he did a decent job to complete over 70 percent of 47 pass attempts for 296 yards and two touchdowns. Foles did not look great in the process of putting up those numbers, but he rightfully had some rust to shake off and could still be getting up to full strength after not throwing an in-game pass since the first quarter of Week 1. D.J. Chark maintained his role as the top receiver in this offense and had a monster game with a season-high 15 targets, hauling in eight of those for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Chark has now led the team in targets for three straight weeks as he picked up right where he left off with Foles from Week 1. Chris Conley seemed to be the next best option on the field for Foles last week, while Dede Westbrook and Keelan Cole both also saw four receptions apiece. Foles was also relying heavily on Leonard Fournette, who tied his season-high reception mark with seven last week and has now hauled in at least five receptions in four of the last five games. The Titans secondary was blown away by Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs prior to their Week 11 bye as their passing defense has been reeling in recent weeks. In their last four games, this defense has given up the seventh-most fantasy points per game to quarterbacks and fourth-most to wide receivers compared to allowing the ninth and eighth fewest fantasy points respectively to each position through their first six games. Breakdowns in the secondary along with some strong passing offenses are to blame for the recent downturn for this defense. Cornerback Adoree Jackson has been quite inconsistent in coverage, while the loss of Malcolm Butler is putting this secondary in a tough place due to a serious lack of depth at cornerback. This should put D.J. Chark in a great spot for success this week. Their top coverage linebacker, Jayon Brown, missed the last game with a groin injury while top defensive lineman Jurrell Casey has also been sidelined for the past two games due to injury. If Brown is sidelined for another week, Leonard Fournette's pass-catching upside has to be upgraded.
