Week 11: at Indianapolis Colts
FBG says: Neutral matchup. The Jaguars offense was futile in their Week 9 contest leading into the Week 10 bye as Leonard Fournette saw a season-low 11 rushing attempts for another season-low of just 40 rushing yards. This offense should be in a different spot this week, however, as they will have Nick Foles back under center for the first time since Week 1. While Gardner Minshew was certainly serviceable, and even spectacular at times, Foles should be more of a threat to defenses which will open up those boxes for Fournette to have more running room. The workload for Fournette should remain strong, as he is the unquestioned top option for this offense. He has scored at an abnormally low rate this season though, rushing for only one touchdown despite ranking eighth in the league in total rushing attempts (174). The Jaguars offensive line remains healthy and ranks near the middle-of-the-pack coming into this week. Coming off the bye, this rushing offense should be rested and ready to get back on track. The Colts have been relatively impressive against the run in 2019, giving up the eighth-fewest fantasy points per game (non-PPR) to opposing running backs while allowing a league-average 104.3 total rushing yards per game. What has helped this defense has been its ability (with a little luck) to keep running backs out of the end zone as they are near the bottom of the league in percentage of runs against them from within the five-yard line. Opposing running backs have scored just once in the past seven games against the Colts, and only one running back has crossed the 80-yard mark against them over that span. For context, however, only two of those seven rushing offenses they have faced rank above 16th in rushing yards per game on the season--so the competition has been somewhat lackluster. Still, linebacker Darius Leonard is a very talented run-stopper while Denico Autry and Justin Houston make for a challenging duo on the left side of that defensive line. This group should match up pretty well against the Jaguars offensive line and rushing offense.
