|5-8, 185||Born: 4-10-1993||College: Sacramento State||Drafted: ---|
2018 Week 13 vs CLE (6 / 6 / 32 / 0 rec)
With Keke Coutee down for the game, the Texans turned to DeAndre Carter to fill in at the slot position. Carter had 6 targets and caught all of them for 32 yards. They used Carter in the smoke screen game where he had four opportunities with just that play. He had a 11, 7, 2 and a no gain in this chances. The 11 yard gain looked like it could have been more if he kept his eyes up and went to where there was open field. Carter also had a key 8 yard reception in the middle of the filed to pick up a key first down late in the game. The one thing plaguing Carter is that he is having trouble holding onto the football, he had a fumble on a reception that bounced out of bounds.
2018 Week 15 vs NYJ (3 / 2 / 55 / 0 rec, 1 / 7 / 0 rush)
The Texans have inserted Carter as their primary slot player and he continues to make plays. He started off with an end-around rush for 7 yards and then his biggest reception came on a 50-yard catch and run from the slot. Carter is speedy option and has shown that the Texans trust him to be on the field.
