Boykin didn't earn a lot of praise from the NFL Draft community because he's one of those players whose on-field play didn't easily match up with his NFL Combine metrics. With better quarterback play or a more in-depth evaluation process for receiver play, Boykin's skills become more recognizable. Expect a more precise Ravens passing offense now that the receivers and quarterback will have an entire offseason to perfect the timing of the option passing game that they lacked in 2018.

Summary

Even after selecting Marquise Brown in the first round, Baltimore still had need at wide receiver. So the team traded up to pick Boykin with the 93rd overall pick. Unlike the diminutive speedster Brown, Boykin is a towering presence at 6'4" and 220 pounds. Despite what that size might lead many to believe, Boykin still has excellent speed, having run a 4.42 40-yard dash at the scouting combine. He also has a 43.5-inch vertical leap, which suggests he can be a red zone weapon and win contested deep balls as well. Boykin has been among the team's best playmakers in camp, hinting that he could see the field quite a bit in the regular season. (August 9)

Ravens | Miles Boykin sits out practice (Sun Aug 18, 12:46 PM) - Baltimore Ravens WR Miles Boykin (unknown) was among the players missing practice Sunday, Aug. 18.

Our View: We like the rookie wide receiver in dynasty formats and will watch for more information to be released. No reason was immediately given for Boykin's absence.

Ravens | Miles Boykin shut out (Thu Aug 15, 10:53 PM) - Baltimore Ravens WR Miles Boykin failed to catch any of the three passes thrown his way in a 26-13 preseason win over the Green Bay Packers Thursday, Aug. 15.

Our View: Boykin is losing momentum after having a strong camp, but could still be worth a late round to see how he fares against the Miami, Arizona and Kansas City corners to open the season.

Ravens | Miles Boykin making a strong impression (Mon Aug 12, 03:19 PM) - Baltimore Ravens WR Miles Boykin continues to impress almost daily, according to Ryan Mink of the team's website.

Our View: The rookie has a skill set that can make him a favorite deep target of QB Lamar Jackson. Boykin, a third-round pick out of Notre Dame, reminded some in the scouting community of Lions WR Kenny Golladay because of his size/speed combination. The Ravens won't fill the air with footballs in 2019, but Boykin is a dynasty prospect we are excited to monitor.

Ravens | Miles Boykin busy Thursday (Thu Aug 8, 10:45 PM) - Baltimore Ravens WR Miles Boykin caught four passes on a team-high nine targets for 39 yards in a 29-0 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the preseason Thursday, Aug. 8.

Our View: Boykin also had a few drops in an uneven night. It's clear the team wants to get a long look at him, which alone merits a late round pick in deep leagues considering the vacuum of experience in the Ravens wide receiver group and excitement about the passing game.
