WR Braxton Berrios - New York Jets
|5-9, 186||Born: 10-6-1995||College: Miami (FL)||Drafted: Round 6, pick 210 (2018)|
2019 Week 3 vs NE (6 / 2 / 29 / 0 rec)
Former Patriots receiver Braxton Berrios had the most yards of any Jets receiver, but it still doesn't amount to much. He did have a really nice catch and run for 23 yards in the third quarter. On the play, he went up and grabbed a pass which was just out of reach of the defender, turned up the sideline and ate up a bunch of green space before getting forced out of bounds.
2019 Week 7 vs NE (1 / 1 / 1 / 0 rec)
Berrios was the target on one pass, a short one where he had no chance to advance it once he caught it.
2019 Week 12 vs OAK (1 / 1 / 69 / 0 rec)
Berrios only had the one catch but if that's all youre going to get, you have to maximize - which he did in spades. On the play, a 69-yard catch and run, Berrios ran a post route, and the Oakland defense didn't adjust. Berrios broke free about five years past the first down marker and then turned on the afterburners, getting all the way down to the two-yard line.
2019 Week 13 vs CIN (2 / 1 / 5 / 0 rec)
Berrios didn't see much work and one of his targets resulted in a massive drop. On the Jets first drive, as they were effectively marching down the field, Sam Darnold moved to his right and saw a wide open Berrios. The throw was a little off-target but definitely catchable, and would have given the Jets a first down. Instead, they had to face a 3rd and 7, which they did not convert, and settled for a field goal.
2019 Week 17 vs BUF (2 / 1 / 11 / 0 rec)
Berrios mostly caught punts on Sunday, and caught a dump pass near the end of the third quarter.
