News you need to know

From the upgrade/downgrade report (Mon Sep 14): Barber had about the most inefficient two touchdown week you could imagine for a running back. He might hold onto this role until the team trusts Antonio Gibson, giving you injury/bye depth, but the Cardinals held down the 49ers running game, so don't get too excited about him in lineups this week.

Football Team | Washington to use committee at RB (Wed Sep 9, 01:51 PM) - Washington Football Team RBs Peyton Barber, Antonio Gibson, Bryce Love and J.D. McKissic are all candidates to receive playing time in Week 1 since head coach Ron Rivera said the team will use a committee approach at the position.

Our View: The Football Team has some interesting options in the backfield. Gibson is arguably the best all-around talent and he can work well as a runner and receiver out of the backfield. Love has explosive capability and can make field-flipping plays. Barber is a solid-yet-unspectacular veteran. McKissic is listed as the no.1 back on the depth chart and is a pass-catching back. This RBBC is one Fantasy GMs should avoid early and give it some time to see how it plays out.
