WR J.J. Arcega-Whiteside - Philadelphia Eagles
|6-3, 225||Born: 3-12-1996||College: Stanford||Drafted: Round 2, pick 2019|
2019 Week 12 vs SEA (5 / 2 / 43 / 0 rec)
The second-round rookie saw an elevated role against Seattle with the Eagles wide receivers missing Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson, and Nelson Agholor. Arcega-Whiteside's longest gain was in garbage time with his earlier reception converting a third down with a slant. Arcega-Whiteside has been slow to see the field in Year 1 and both his targets and yardage were high-water marks to-date in his career.
2019 Week 14 vs NYG (3 / 2 / 29 / 0 rec)
The second-round rookie was forced into extended action with Alshon Jeffery missing most of the game with a foot injury and Nelson Agholor already inactive. Arcega-Whiteside corralled a red zone slant off a low throw and his highlight play came on one of the best offensive plays for the Eagles offense all game. Carson Wentz placed a perfect pass over the outside shoulder of Arcega-Whiteside and the rookie adjusted well for the arching connection. Any missed time by Jeffery will place more importance on Arcega-Whiteside to make similar plays regularly for the Eagles passing game to produce on the outside.
2019 Week 16 vs DAL (2 / 2 / 39 / 0 rec)
Arcega-Whiteside hauled in both of his early-game targets from Carson Wentz in the home win over Dallas. The rookie collected a stick throw over the middle for more than 25 yards and later on the opening drive converted a third down with a rollout pass. Arcega-Whiteside did not see another target as Miles Sanders, Dallas Goedert, and Greg Ward were notable receiving options for the Eagles.
