Week 11: vs Dallas Cowboys - $4200
FBG says: Tough matchup. The Detroit Lions' passing projections for week 11 are highly dependent upon the status of quarterback Matthew Stafford. Stafford missed last week's game due to a back injury, and his status for this week is unknown. If he is unable to go, Jeff Driskel will start once again for the Lions. Driskel started last weekend against the Chicago Bears and threw for 269 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception on 46 pass attempts on the day. Unsurprisingly, Driskel's favorite targets through the air were Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones, Jr., the Lions' two dominant pass-catchers. Golladay and Jones, Jr. commanded the most valuable targets in the team's offense; however, their stat lines for the game were less-than-impressive. Even if each of their respective volumes continues at Stafford-like levels with Driskel under-center, the lack of efficiency will severely limit their receiving production. Danny Amendola has emerged as a reliable number-three option through the air over the last month of the season, with at least eight targets in three out of the last four games. He will play a factor in the team's passing game, but he is a definitive third-fiddle in the Lions' aerial attack. Rookie tight end, T.J. Hockenson has flashed occasionally, but his volume through the air is highly inconsistent. A strong matchup this weekend may foster another ceiling performance from the rookie, but it is far from a sure thing. Should Matthew Stafford tough it out in week 11 and play through his back injury, the same pass-catchers remain atop the list of expected producers for the Lions. However, their efficiency levels should increase dramatically compared to if Jeff Driskel were under-center. The Dallas Cowboys' pass defense is one of the league's most consistent units this season, ranking sixth in adjusted yards per pass attempt allowed through nine games. Along the defensive line, Demarcus Lawrence, Robert Quinn, and Michael Bennett make up one of the league's deepest and most-talented rotations of edge rushers. While their pass-rush is a definitive strength, the linebacker position has been a massive weakness for the Cowboys in coverage. All three of their starting linebackers have struggled against the pass this season, leaving their defense susceptible over the middle of the field. Opposing tight ends have capitalized on this weakness, as they have scored four touchdowns in the last four weeks against the Cowboys. On the season, the Cowboys have allowed the third-most DraftKings points per game to opposing tight ends in the NFL, which bodes well for Lions' rookie, T.J. Hockenson. Dallas' secondary is a deep and talented unit lacking any obvious weakness, and picking them apart through the air has proven to be an arduous task. Expect the Cowboys' defense to give the Lions' passing-attack fits in week 11, especially if Jeff Driskel is forced into action once again while Matthew Stafford heals from a back injury.

Recent Game Summaries
2019 Week 10 vs CHI (8 / 4 / 29 / 0 rec - 6.9 points, $4700)
Danny Amendola had a down game with Matthew Stafford missing the game with an injury. Detroit was led by Jeff Driskel who is more mobile and less of a timing passing that Stafford, which does not cater to Amendola's skillset. Amendola was targeted in the red zone with a quick out inside the 10-yard line, but otherwise struggled for fantasy relevance. He added two drops and had a long catch called back by penalty. Amendola should hope for Stafford to return next week against Dallas.
2019 Week 9 vs OAK (5 / 3 / 29 / 0 rec - 5.9 points, $4700)
Danny Amendola had a quiet day after consecutive strong performances. He had a short catch on the first drive of the game and later had a deep out for a third down conversion. He had opportunities for a bigger day but he was hurt by two errant throws by Matthew Stafford, including one at the goal line and another on a vertical perimeter route. Amendola faces a tough Chicago defense next week.
2019 Week 8 vs NYG (8 / 8 / 95 / 0 rec - 17.5 points, $4100)
Danny Amendola had another strong game against the New York Giants on Sunday. Amendola started hot, with three receptions on the first drive, including a catch up the seam from the slot. Amendola was consistently open in the short area of the field and is a preferred option for Stafford as a chain moving option, but the target up the seam is an expansion of his usual route tree. Amendola will look to continue his strong role in the offense next week against the Raiders.
2019 Week 7 vs MIN (11 / 8 / 105 / 0 rec - 21.5 points, $3800)
Danny Amendola had a good game after a disappointing game last week. Amendola worked primarily in the short area of the field and was seemingly unconverable for stretches. Amendola was able to break two bigger gains with runs after the catch and added a deep crossing route reception. Amendola creates easy throws for Matthew Stafford, especially in chain moving situations. He will face the Giants next week.
2019 Week 3 vs PHI (5 / 4 / 37 / 0 rec - 7.7 points, $3800)
Danny Amendola had a quiet fantasy game against the Eagles on Sunday. He was involved early on the first series with a screen but was quiet through the rest of the first half. He had a 22-yard reception on a crosser route and later had a good third down conversion along the sideline late in the game. Amendola could see higher volume next week against the Chiefs.
2019 Week 2 vs LAC (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec - 0 points, $3900)
After a big week one, Danny Amendola dropped his only target on a third down pass. Amendola will look to bounce back against Philadelphia in week three.
2019 Week 1 vs ARI (13 / 7 / 104 / 1 rec - 26.4 points, $3600)
Danny Amendola had a strong debut with the Detroit Lions in week one against the Arizona Cardinals. He was targeted frequently and involved early in the offense. He played both the slot and outside, getting easy separation on an out route while playing the perimeter. He was shifty in his movements in the short area. Amendola did score a long touchdown on a blown defensive coverage but added a critical mistake on the final drive of overtime where he did not get out of bounds, forcing the clock to run out and essentially guaranteeing a tie. Amendola has intrigue in a potentially high scoring game in week two against the Chargers.

Our View: Wagner being out will hurt a Lions offense already without its starting quarterback against one of the best pass rush units in the league.
