TE Kyle Adams - Free Agent
|6-4, 255||Born: 1-19-1988||College: Purdue||Drafted: ---|
2012 Week 3 vs STL (1 / 1 / 7 / 0 rec)
Kyle Adams came in due to the injury to Evan Rodriguez. Adams was primarily used as a blocker but he did have one catch on the day. Early in the 4th, he lined up as the lead blocker for Michael Bush, but the Bears ran a play action pass. Jay Cutler rolled to the right, and Adams released into the flat. Cutler dumped the ball to him and Adams was pushed out of bounds after a short seven yard gain.
2012 Week 5 vs JAX (1 / 0 / 0 / 0 rec)
The Bears sure miss Greg Olsen. Adams lined up as the lead blocker of an I formation, then broke out into the Flat as Cutler rolled to that side of the field. Cutler dumped it to Adams who was open, but the ball went through his hands - and fell incomplete.
2012 Week 10 vs HOU (1 / 1 / 7 / 0 rec)
Adams had one catch late in the 4th quarter. The Bears were facing second and long. Campbell checked down to Adams and he had a short seven yard run before begin tackled.
2012 Week 14 vs MIN (3 / 1 / 9 / 0 rec)
Adams saw action late in the game, possibly due to the drops that Kellen Davis had earlier in the day. The first pass to Adams was straight down the hash marks, but the defender was looking the other way and the ball hit him in the back. On the final drive of the game for Chicago, with Jason Campbell in at QB, he hit Adams on a short sideline route for his only catch of the day, and looked to him again just before the TD pass to Marshall, but Adams had stepped out of bounds and was ineligible for the catch.
