There was talk that Curtis Samuel could be on the trade block in the offseason, however, it appears as if Carolina will look keep his talents in 2020 and perhaps beyond. Samuel will be a free agent after the 2020 season and Carolina will need to decide if they want to extend his contract. The Panthers have assembled a formidable receiving corps when you consider Christian McCaffrey, D.J. Moore, Robby Anderson and the 23 year-old Samuel. The speedster from Ohio State could be a higher producing fantasy receiver on another team where there isn't as many mouths to feed. Even as the Panthers #3 option in the offense, Samuel has scored seven touchdowns in each of the last two years. He is capable of scoring on any given play due to his speed and elusiveness in the open field. Samuel should be a key piece in the Panthers new offense under offensive coordinator, Joe Brady. He is considered a WR4 or flex option in fantasy leagues in 2020 with the talent to rise up the ranks if the ball bounces his way. (May 6)

Latest News

Panthers | Curtis Samuel reaches end zone (Sun Nov 22, 05:26 PM) - Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel caught eight passes for 70 yards and one touchdown against the Detroit Lions in Week 11. He was targeted 10 times during the game.

Our View: Samuel had a terrific game with PJ Walker and made an excellent sprawling touchdown catch. He bounced back from a down Week 10 and should be a viable WR3/Flex against the Vikings next week no matter who starts at quarterback for Carolina.

Panthers | Six total touches for Curtis Samuel (Sun Nov 15, 06:07 PM) - Carolina Panthers WR Curtis Samuel posted three receptions for eight yards on five targets in Week 10 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while running three times for four yards.

Our View: Samuel's two week hot streak has come to an end. If Teddy Bridgewater's knee causes him to miss time, Samuel moves very close to the threshold of droppable in typical leagues.
