Summary
Because he set the football world ablaze, it's hard to remember that many were doubting Jackson as a full-time starter heading into the year. But Jackson's electric ability and the coaching staff's willingness to build a scheme around his skills yielded the NFL's highest-scoring offense (52 points clear of the second-best team). The questions entering 2020 are different. Will the league adjust to Jackson and Baltimore's offense? Will he continue to avoid injuries as he did last year? The foundation is in place for this offense to be electric again as Jackson's supporting cast of key skill position players returns. He also has a new backfield mate in rookie J.K. Dobbins and two new wide receivers in Devin Duvernay and James Proche. The wideouts are unlikely to make an immediate impact, but their selection shows the team's continued emphasis on expanding the offense. (July 30)FBG Staff Rankings

Ravens | Lamar Jackson did sustain concussion (Sun Jan 17, 09:03 AM) - Confirming previous reports, Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (concussion) did suffer a concussion near the end of the third quarter of the AFC Divisional Round game against the Buffalo Bills, according to head coach John Harbaugh. Our View: Jackson was banged up against the Bills and on the play he was concussed it spelled disaster for the Ravens. He got his first playoff win in the Wild Card Round, and the Ravens had quite a few chances to win against the Bills but did not take advantage.link to story Ravens | Baltimore out of the playoffs (Sat Jan 16, 11:40 PM) - Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson went 14-for-24 for 162 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception against the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round playoff game. Jackson also rushed for 34 yards on nine carries. RBs Gus Edwards and J.K. Dobbins both rushed for 42 yards on 10 carries. Dobbins also caught three passes for 51 yards. WR Marquise Brown caught four passes for 87 yards on seven targets, while TE Mark Andrews caught four passes for 28 yards on 11 targets. link to story Ravens | Lamar Jackson will not return (Sat Jan 16, 10:49 PM) - Updating a previous report, Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (head) will not return to the Divisional Round playoff game. link to story Ravens | Lamar Jackson may have concussion (Sat Jan 16, 10:33 PM) - Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson (head) left the Divisional Round playoff game early and is being evaluated for a concussion. link to story Ravens | Lamar Jackson in line for extension (Sat Jan 16, 01:24 PM) - Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is expected to have his fifth-year option picked up by the team this offseason, and the two sides are then expected to look at working out a 'big-time' contract extension this summer. Our View: No surprise here. Jackson is a franchise quarterback and won the first playoff game of his career last week in the Wild Card Round. The team can build around him for years to come, and he'll be compensated as one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league when his extension is done.
