Summary

Derrick Henry's fantasy general managers in 2018 will tell you that it was frustrating to play him early on, but that patience paid off in the fantasy playoffs. Henry scored seven touchdowns and accumulated 522 total yards in weeks 14 through 16, rewarding the fantasy players who kept faith in him. In 2019, Henry has an opportunity to truly lead his committee. Head Coach Mike Vrabel referred to Dion Lewis as a "complement" to Henry in an offseason press conference, indicating that Henry will have the larger market share in this committee situation. The offensive system will not change notably under new Offensive Coordinator Arthur Smith. Offensive line run blocking for Henry should improve dramatically with the addition of Roger Saffold, the left tackle who helped Todd Gurley rush for record totals the past two years. Early signs point to this being the year Henry will be a week-to-week startable option. UPDATE: Henry was in a walking boot after a July 26 injury (July 27)

Brown posted three grabs for 51 yards, and TE Jonnu Smith factored in with three catches and 38 yards. Titans | Derrick Henry not intimidating? (Sat Jan 18, 12:52 PM) - Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry has rushed for 377 yards on 64 carries in two wins this postseason, but Kansas City Chiefs DE Frank Clark says he isn't intimidated heading into the AFC Championship matchup with the Titans on Sunday, Jan. 19. 'He's not hard to hit,' Clark was quoted as saying on NFL Network. 'He's just a big guy -- 240, 245, 250 (pounds). Honestly he should be running harder at his weight and size. I don't see no difficulty in tackling him. ... He's just easy to me up front because I don't look at any running back like they can't be tackled. He's not one of the best guys at breaking tackles to me, honestly.'

Our View: That's not what you want to say if you're facing Henry in the AFC Championship Game. Clark has given the Titans some bulletin board material to be sure. We'll see if the Titans run all over the Chiefs defense on Sunday.

Titans | Derrick Henry has great matchup (Thu Jan 16, 11:14 AM) - Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry rushed 23 times for 188 yards and two scores in Week 10 against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Titans will take on the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game Sunday, Jan. 19.

Our View: Henry is on a historic tear and should once again be in for a huge role. Don't be surprised if Henry has another 100-yard performance in the playoffs -- even with the Chiefs doing everything in their power to stop him.

Titans | Divisional Round stats for TEN (Sat Jan 11, 11:30 PM) - Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill passed for 88 yards and two touchdowns Saturday, Jan. 11, at the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs. He added a rushing score on six carries. RB Derrick Henry rushed 30 times for 195 yards, while WR A.J. Brown caught one pass for a 9-yard touchdown, and WR Corey Davis' lone reception was a 3-yard touchdown. TE Jonnu Smith scored once on his two receptions for 12 yards.

Our View: The Titans were able to move the ball on the ground with great success against the Ravens and that was their key to success. That's their formula for winning most every week and it worked to near perfection in the Divisional Round.
