Summary

Cleveland traded a first-round pick, a third-round pick, and Jabrill Peppers for the talented but mercurial wide receiver in what was the blockbuster move of the offseason. Beckham's value to Cleveland is not only that of an All-Pro talent but someone who can move Jarvis Landry back to a secondary/slot role where he has shown more likely to succeed. Receivers like Beckham not only make their quarterbacks better but make the other pass-catchers on their team better via matchups and opening up opposing defenses. Beckham likely won't be force-fed targets as he was in New York, but the quality of the targets he does see and the scoring chances of this offense should make up for a lack of volume. (September 3)

Browns | Odell Beckham Jr. hits triple digits (Sun Oct 13, 05:54 PM) - Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. posted six receptions for 101 yards on 11 targets in Week 6 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Our View: Beckham had a few splash plays and reminded us how high his skill level is, but he wasn't able to break through enough to get the Browns over the hump for the win. He's a boom/bust WR1 heading into his bye.

Browns | Odell Beckham Jr. looking for more work (Thu Oct 10, 05:52 PM) - Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. said Thursday, Oct. 10, he's happy to take on a heavier workload in the offense than what he's seen through the first five weeks of the season. 'It's just whatever to win,'' he said. 'I just want to help. I feel like I was brought here to help. I feel like I was brought here to help this team and that's all I want to do, so if it has to be handoffs, like it's whatever. Just finding ways to have successful plays, not just giving me the ball to appease me or anything like that. It's about more about having success within the game and within the team.''

Browns | Cleveland's Thursday practice report (Thu Oct 10, 03:57 PM) - Cleveland Browns OT Kendall Lamm (knee), CB Denzel Ward (hamstring) and CB Greedy Williams (hamstring) were limited in practice for a second straight day Thursday, Oct. 10. WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hip) and WR Rashard Higgins (knee) fully participated in practice for a second straight day.

Our View: Higgins is finally on track to return and he is Baker Mayfield's favorite receiver, so this could finally give Mayfield a good outlook against a Seahawks pass defense that has had some rough performances this year.
