Saints | New Orleans ousted from the playoffs (Sun Jan 17, 10:06 PM) - New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees completed 19-of-34 passes for 134 yards, one touchdown and three interceptions in the NFC Divisional Round playoff game loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. QB Jameis Winston completed a 56-yard touchdown on a trick play to WR Tre'Quan Smith, who ended up with three grabs, 85 yards and two scores. RB Alvin Kamara rushed 18 times for 85 yards with three receptions and 20 yards on six targets. RB Ty Montgomery ran four times for 14 yards with one grab for 13 yards on his lone target. WR Emmanuel Sanders had six grabs for 48 yards on a game-high nine targets, and TE Jared Cook registered five receptions for 28 yards and a fumble lost. link to story Saints | NO hoping to retain Jameis Winston (Sat Jan 16, 01:13 PM) - New Orleans Saints QB Jameis Winston is an unrestricted free agent after this season, but the Saints like what they've seen of him, according to a report Saturday, Jan. 16, and want to bring him back with the possibility that QB Drew Brees could retire this offseason. Our View: Winston did not start when the Saints lost Brees for a few games. Instead, Taysom Hill was the team's starter and Winston was his backup. We'll see if he wants to stay with the team or if another team gives him a clearer shot to be a starter in 2021.link to story
