Outlook
According to the Buffalo News, head coach Doug Marrone will use Sammy Watkins in the slot and it looks like the plan is to get him on the field in every and any way. Watkins has the skill to line up wherever they want him to be and has the ability to stretch the field as a deep threat as well as kill teams for yardage after the catch. Two things can hold him back. First, the rookie learning curve which seems to limit almost every receiver during their first year. How much impact is always hard to say, as even for a talented guy like Watkins there are hiccups. The second is his quarterback EJ Manuel. Manuel struggled a lot last year, when he wasn't hurt. Word is he is much more comfortable with the plays this year, so hopefully it won't hurt Watkins at all. Despite the tremendous talent, we don't see him as more than a WR3 with upside for his rookie season. At 21 though, the sky is the limit for his career.
