Outlook

Dane Sanzenbacher is expected to be used as the team’s primary slot receiver. While it’s nice for him that he has the “lead in the clubhouse” for this job, new Offensive Coordinator Hue Jackson’s offense is a run-heavy approach. Add to that the fact that this team has two competent tight ends (including 2013’s first round pick Tyler Eifert), and there may not be enough targets for a slot receiver to be productive in this unit.

2013 Game Summaries

Week 6 - Sanzenbacher hasn’t been used this season, but he made his presence felt late in the 3rd quarter with a beautiful catch. On 4th and 15, Marvin Lewis elected to go for it, due to the fact that it would have been a long field goal. Dalton threw a lob right down the center of the field, and Sanzenbacher made a beautiful one-handed catch for a huge 23 yard gain. Sanzenbacher certainly shouldn’t be on your fantasy radar, as he barely sees the field, but the nice catch deserved a mention.
