Outlook

Latavius Murray may have more potential than any back in the Raiders stable. The second year back has size (6-3, 230) and speed. He averaged 5.4 yards per carry in his career at Central Florida and scored 19 touchdowns as a senior. Murray also had 27 receptions as a senior and has the hands to play in Oakland, where they demand their running backs be able to catch the ball. The 6th rounder spent his rookie campaign on the injured reserve but looks to be healthy heading into 2014. He'll start camp behind Maurice Jones-Drew and Darren McFadden on the depth chart but that doesn't mean he won't have an opportunity. Jones-Drew is a 29 year old back coming off a year in which he averaged 3.4 yards per carry. McFadden consistently misses 5-8 games per year and hasn't averaged more than 3.3 yards per carry since 2011.
