2013 Game Summaries

Week 2 - Moore’s lone catch came on the 49ers’ last drive, catching a hook on the left before being taken down immediately. The 49ers preferred to use more tight end sets than wide receiver sets including Moore, so his snaps were limited.

Week 6 - Receiving an end-around, Moore showed very good speed to turn the corner and weave by his blockers before getting tackled after a 9-yard gain. However, his inconsistency in regards to gaining separation was still an issue.

Week 17 - Marlon Moore stepped into the third wide receiver role when Brian Hartline left the game in the first quarter and saw 7 targets over the final three plus quarters. However, he could only reel in 3 of them as going over the middle of the field is not exactly Moore’s favorite pastime. After Moore was waived by the 49ers earlier in the season, the Dolphins picked him up again as a special teams player and depth after Gibson went down for the season. Moore has always been a good special teams player, and is more suited for the #5 wide receiver job and fulltime special teams ace. The Dolphins could bring him back as depth again, but he won’t be on the fantasy radar in 2014.
