2013 Game Summaries
Week 1 - Mastrud got wide open behind the defense on third and one and rumbled for a 41 yard gain. He was shaken up on the play and hobbled off with what looked to be a slight knee injury or cramps.
Week 2 - Ran a nice deep cross but Pryor missed him on the run. Mastrud looks to be secondary to Rivera in the passing game and wasn’t on the field as much either.
Week 4 - Mastrud again saw plenty of snaps but very little action in the passing game. He saw a deep target in the first half but the ball was poorly thrown and he had three defenders around him. He made one short catch, but had no chance to pick up extra yardage and was tackled immediately.
Week 6 - Mastrud saw more involvement in the passing game than he has in past weeks. His first target was in double coverage and he made a very poor effort to get to the ball. His only catch was on a three yard pass but he plowed his way through three defensive backs for a 13 yard gain and a first down.
Week 8 - Mastrud saw a lot of action run blocking and caught one short pass in the right flats for a 9 yard gain.
Week 9 - Mastrud saw very little action once the Raiders were in come from behind mode. His one target of note was nearly an interception as the Eagles had him bracketed.
Week 12 - Even with Rivera out early, Mastrud made barely a ripple in the passing game. He was tackled immediately after his one catch for five yards and despite the fact that McGloin targeted his tight end heavily last week did not seem to be a part of the game plan.
Week 16 - Mastrud saw a couple of rare targets early in the game. The first he caught wide open on a quick hitter and picked up 12 easy yards. He was wide open for his second target as well but dropped the pass just short of the marker.
