Broncos | Drew Lock on shaky ground? (Tue Jan 19, 02:09 PM) - Denver Broncos QB Drew Lock is a player that president of football operations John Elway is 'still high on,' but Elway indicated Tuesday, Jan. 19, that new general manager George Paton 'will continue to look to fill that spot if we don't think that Drew is that guy.' Our View: That sounds about right. Lock did look better as the 2020 season went on but he was only able to look good against bad defenses like the Panthers or the Raiders. He still struggles way too much under pressure and it looked like he was working with a reduced playbook later in the year. The Broncos gave Lock the 2020 season to see if he could be 'the guy' for them, and he failed to impress. They are at least going to bring in competition at the quarterback position if not out-and-out replace Lock as the starter for 2021.link to story
