Outlook
We’ve seen Virgil Green develop into a fine all-around tight end during his pro career. He came out of Nevada in 2011 mostly known as the favorite target for quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Green was a receiver, but his blocking left a lot to be desired. During his time with the Broncos, Green has developed his blocking and now that’s his main asset to the team. Green is a blocker with the versatility to run routes or even get a carry out of the backfield once in a blue moon. Green is a good pro, and he’s valuable to the Broncos. However, he’s not valuable to fantasy owners because the role is not there for him to contribute in a way that is conducive to fantasy stardom.
