Not much fantasy value here as the Jacksonville WR depth chart is suddenly full with talent. Doss will find it hard to get playing time if there is no injuries ahead of him at the position.
2013 Game Summaries
Week 4 - Tandon Doss is not an NFL caliber receiver. Doss struggles to separate and canít make tough catches. He had 2 drops and all of his catches were either underneath or schemed catches.
Week 5 - Tandon Doss played his best game as a receiver of his young career. Doss made a nice diving catch on third down to move the chains. Doss later beat his man on a corner route and made a tough adjustment to the pass for a gain of 40. Doss has struggled to make plays when the pass wasnít perfect but if he continues to play well and convert the tough catches it will be a boost to the Ravenís offense.
Week 6 - Tandon Doss played one of his best games as a receiver. Doss had a tough catch bounce off his hands before halftime. Doss was unable to toe tap in the corner of the end zone for a touchdown after he beat zone coverage. Doss was held on a double move by Tramon Williams on a potential big gain but earned his team a first down. Doss won against zone coverage on a skinny post for a gain of 19. Doss then ran a vertical on fourth down and his defender fell so he was left alone for a gain 63 yards. Dossí receptions came against zone coverage but if he continues to make plays the Ravenís offense will be much more dangerous.
Week 7 - Tandon Doss converted a 3rd and short with a 22 yard reception on a crossing route. Doss has been more reliable in recent weeks and should stay involved in the Ravenís offense. Doss caught another crossing route and was hit hard by Polamalu. It was the type of contested catch Doss wouldnít have made in previous weeks.
Week 9 - Tandon Doss snatched the ball out of the air on a deep crossing gaining 23 after he beat Buster Skrine.
Week 11 - Tandon Doss continues to show signs of improvement but is still the same Doss in some ways. Doss is making more plays but shows why he canít be relied on consistently. Doss beat zone coverage and made a nice leaping sideline grab with a toe tap for a gain of 16. Doss made a pair of 3rd down conversions one on a quick slant, the other on a comeback route. Flacco trusts Doss and Doss didnít let him down in the first half. The old Tandon Doss would find the field in the 4th quarter dropping a potential 3rd down conversion. Doss couldnít make a contested catch in overtime to extend the Ravensí opening drive. The ball hit his hands and Doss should have caught it.
Week 12 - Tandon Doss picked up where he left off last week with a drop on a quick out route.
