2013 Game Summaries
Week 7 - After Clyde Gates suffered a season ending injury, Josh Cribbs was signed. Alike Gates, Cribbs was deployed strictly as a gadget player. The Jets gave Cribbs a few touches on end arounds and sweeps. Cribbs looked like a shell of his former self and lacked explosiveness.
Week 9 - Josh Cribbs has become New Yorkís Swiss Army Knife. When he isnít returning kicks on special teams, Cribbs is running routes and operating the Wildcat package. Cribbs participated in all three facets of the offense, including a halfback throw to Zach Sudfeld for a 25-yard gain. In addition, Cribbs gained nine yards on an end around for a first down. Cribbs isnít the explosive playmaker he once was, but on a team without many playmakers, Cribbs can generate yardage in a variety of ways.
Week 12 - Cribbs is New Yorkís Wildcat quarterback and also plays on special teams. During his teamís first two drives, Cribbs took four snaps in the Wildcat and even completed a 13-yard pass to Geno Smith. Cribbs lacks explosiveness, but is still a shifty runner. Cribbs had a long run of seven yards where he ran off right tackle.
