Outlook

The Broncos added quite a dangerous weapon when they picked up Isaiah Burse as an undrafted free agent. His $12,500 signing bonus was the highest paid out to any player Denver picked up in college free agency. Burse is joining a team with a crowded wide receiving corps, but his skill set could force him onto the roster. He’s lightning quick and can break ankles in the open field. Burse has good burst in and out of his breaks, and he loves to toy with defenders trying to tackle him. He’s got the speed to get open quickly, and he does a good job of consistently snaring passes with his arms extended away from his body. Burse could develop into a fine slot receiver someday. This season, Burse’s best bet to make the final roster is as a return man. Dynasty owners should monitor Burse as a potential star in the making along the lines of Danny Amendola years ago when he came out of Texas Tech as an undrafted free agent. Burse has been struggling to hang onto the rock as a return man in training camp. He's also dropping too many passes at Dove Valley. Perhaps the team could choose to keep him around on the practice squad as a developmental prospect.
