The Steelers got a tremendous value when they added Martavis Bryant in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL draft. Byrant has the talent to be a quality starter on the outside if he develops his pro game. Bryant has the size (6’4”) to play “above the rim” in the NFL. He has the wingspan to beat defenders at the point of the catch, and this skill will help him greatly as a pro. Bryant knows how to use his frame to keep defenders away from the ball, and this makes him an immediate red-zone threat in the pros. He needs to add more muscle to his 211 pound frame. Bryant is slight, and he can get pushed around off the line of scrimmage by more physical defenders. In 2014, Bryant will compete for a backup job on the depth chart. However, he could develop quickly and push for a starting job on the outside in 2015.
