2013 Game Summaries
Week 10 - Bostick, an undrafted free agent rookie in 2012, finally cracked the lineup for the Packers and had a very nice game. His highlight was a 22-yard touchdown reception from fellow undrafted free agent Scott Tolzien. On the play, Bostick ran a “short out and up” along the sideline. As he ran his initial “out”, Tolzien pump-faked and drew made the coverage stop and stumble as he tried to turn. It gave Bostick enough time to turn upfield and get open along the sideline where Tolzien hit him with a pass which was a tad high. Bostick made a very nice adjustment, reaching up while continuing to run his route and hauling the ball in while running. He then delivered a hit at the goal line as he scored. Overall he wasn’t used much, but when he was, he made some nice plays.
Week 11 - The big tight end had just one target, a 26-yard catch down the middle of the field. Bostick took a huge hit from safety Will Hill, kept upright and gained six of the 26-yards himself after the catch, but then remained on the turf after the play ended. His status for next week is unknown but from his Twitter feed, he seems fine.
Week 12 - Bostick’s biggest play was probably the one he didn’t make. With the weather—and ball—cold, Bostick’s hands were inconsistent Sunday and he dropped what should have been a touchdown for the Packers. On the play, Bostick ran a short route down the middle of the field and quarterback Matt Flynn hit him right in the chest, but Bostick couldn’t hang on. The Packers scored a few plays later (with the drive extended due to a penalty) so the damage was minimal but the drop underlined what was an inconsistent day for Bostick.
