Outlook
David Ausberry looked to have a great opportunity to start in 2013 before losing the season to a shoulder injury. In his absence Mychal Rivera snatched away the starting role, but in training camp the Raiders seem to be giving Ausberry the opportunity to get his starting job back. Ausberry's taking a lot of snaps with the first team largely because the team is concerned over Rivera's ability to block. Rivera is a more dynamic player in the passing game, but if Ausberry wins the TE1 job he could have value.
