New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) is likely to have multiple surgeries on the torn deltoid and other injured ligaments in his high ankle this offseason.
Footballguys view: Thomas worked through a high-ankle sprain for most of the seven games he played in the regular season. He came back for the playoffs because he didn't want to miss out on the (likely) final playoff run of Drew Brees. Now, Thomas has plenty of time to get back to full strength and then work with whoever the new starter in New Orleans is next season. |

New Orleans Saints WR Michael Thomas (ankle) was activated from the Reserve/Injured list Saturday, Jan. 9.
Footballguys view: Thomas is back for the Saints in the playoffs, just like they planned. They sat him down on IR awhile ago to give him time to heal. The plan was to get Thomas back for the Wild Card Round, and he'll be back out there as a favorite target of Drew Brees on Sunday. |
