Steelers | Pittsburgh eliminated from the playoffs Sun Jan 10, 11:38 PM
Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger completed 47-of-68 passes for 501 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions in the AFC wild-card game loss against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, Jan. 10. RB James Conner rushed 11 times for 37 yards and a touchdown while adding five receptions for 30 yards on his five targets. RB Benny Snell rushed twice for 13 yards with one grab for four yards. WR JuJu Smith-Schuster ended up with game highs of 13 receptions, 157 yards and 19 targets with one touchdown, with WR Diontae Johnson also chiming in with 11 grabs for 117 yards on 16 targets. WR Chase Claypool also finished up with five grabs, 59 yards and two scores on seven targets, with WR James Washington adding five catches and 72 yards on six targets with TE Eric Ebron posting seven receptions, 62 yards and a score on 10 targets.

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Benny Snell should be able to be more productive for the Steelers this upcoming season since he will be more comfortable playing in the NFL, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.
| Footballguys view: The Steelers may reduce the workload for James Conner this year. That leads to more time for Snell (among others). The Steelers have an interesting collection of backs and we'll see how this RBBC shakes out. In addition to Conner and Snell, the team drafted scatback Anthony McFarland out of Maryland this year. They also still have the multi-dimensional Jaylen Samuels in the RB room as well. Let's see how this shakes out in camp and the preseason. |

Pittsburgh Steelers RB Benny Snell topped 90 rushing yards in both of his starts as a rookie and ran for at least 63 rushing yards in four of the five games when he was given at least 16 carries.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Devlin Hodges completed 9-of-25 passes for just 95 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 17 against the Baltimore Ravens, as the loss eliminated the team from the playoffs. RB Benny Snell Jr. rushed 18 times for a team-high 91 yards and a touchdown. WR Diontae Johnson led the team with four grabs for a team-high 54 yards on seven targets, while WR JuJu Smith-Schuster was limited to two grabs for six yards in the finale. TE Vance McDonald also chipped in with two snags for 19 yards on his two targets.

WR Diontae Johnson (concussion), RB Benny Snell (knee), LB Olasunkanmi Adeniyi (concussion), TE Nick Vannett (illness), TE Vance McDonald (non-injury), LB Mark Barron (non-injury), LB Bud Dupree (triceps) and OG Ramon Foster (non-injury) practiced in full Friday and no longer appear on the injury report. C Maurkice Pouncey (non-injury) was not given a practice designation Friday and has also been removed from the injury report, although he will be suspended for the game.
