Chiefs | Demarcus Robinson likely to see more work    Fri Jan 15, 11:06 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Demarcus Robinson likely will have a bigger role in the Divisional Round playoff game with WR Sammy Watkins (calf) unavailable.

Footballguys view: Robinson is a favorite target of Patrick Mahomes. He'll get one-on-one looks and his speed will make him a big-play option for the Chiefs when they play against the Browns on Sunday.

Updating a previous report, free-agent WR Demarcus Robinson (Chiefs) officially re-signed with the Kansas City Chiefs Wednesday, April 8. Official terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Footballguys view: The Chiefs keep their offense in place for the 2020 season and Robinson will work again as a part-time receiver. He's likely no.4 on the depth chart behind Tyreek Hill, Sammy Watkins and Mecole Hardman which limits his fantasy value.

Eagles | Philly could target Demarcus Robinson    Wed Feb 12, 09:21 PM

Impending free-agent Demarcus Robinson (Chiefs) is expected to be of interest to the Philadelphia Eagles if he is allowed to hit the open market next month, according to Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Footballguys view: Robinson will be familiar with the Eagles offense since Doug Pederson came up under Andy Reid. His speed would be a welcome asset to the Eagles offense. They need a lot of help at the wide receiver position, so we'd expect them to be active at the position in free agency and the 2020 NFL draft.

Eagles | Philly expected to pursue Demarcus Robinson    Mon Feb 3, 03:46 PM

Kansas City Chiefs impending free-agent WR Demarcus Robinson is expected to receive interest from the Philadelphia Eagles in free agency, according to sources.

Footballguys view: Robinson makes sense in Philadelphia with their shortage of healthy wide receivers at the end of the season and the commonalities between the Chiefs and Eagles offensive systems. He has a chance to have a larger role in Philadelphia than the one he had in Kansas City. His likely departure will free up snaps for Mecole Hardman.

Chiefs | Kansas City advances to AFC Championship Game    Sun Jan 12, 06:36 PM

Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes completed 23-of-35 passes for 321 yards, five touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's AFC Divisional Round win over the Houston Texans. He also led the team with 53 rushing yards on seven attempts. RB Damien Williams ran 12 times for 47 yards with two touchdowns, while adding two grabs for 21 yards and a third score. TE Travis Kelce had a monster game with 10 grabs, 134 yards and three touchdowns. WR Sammy Watkins had two grabs for 76 yards and he added 14 rushing yards. WR Tyreek Hill ran three times for 41 yards with a four-yard run and one lost fumble. WR Mecole Hardman was good for two receptions and 19 yards, while WR Demarcus Robinson ended his day with one catch for four yards on four targets.

Footballguys view: Mahomes was a cool customer and the Chiefs got even more special teams and defense breaks than the Texans by the time the game was over. The Chiefs offense is clicking at the right time although the Titans beat them earlier this year. Kelce had a record-breaking performance as the first player to catch three touchdowns in a quarter in the postseason.

Chiefs | Demarcus Robinson asked to step up    Thu Jul 18, 09:05 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Demarcus Robinson will be expected to take over the role that Jacksonville Jaguars WR Chris Conley filled for the offense last season.

Footballguys view: Robinson is going to compete with rookie Mecole Hardman for the No. 3 spot on the WR depth chart behind Tyreek Hill and Sammie Watkins. Projecting him for about 25-30 catches this season is fair. That means Robinson is more of a dynasty prospect than a redraft receiver in 2019.

Chiefs | Bigger role for Demarcus Robinson?    Fri Jun 21, 10:06 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Demarcus Robinson has been trusted with more offensive responsibilities this offseason, according to Nate Taylor of The Athletic.

Footballguys view: Robinson could open the season as the #2 receiver if Tyreek Hill is suspended, which means he's draftable in redraft leagues right now. If Sammy Watkins injury problems resurface, Robinson could become a primary target. He showed budding chemistry with Patrick Mahomes last year.

Chiefs | Demarcus Robinson to emerge in 2018?    Thu May 17, 10:58 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Demarcus Robinson's rapport with QB Patrick Mahomes and the presence of WR Tyreek Hill and WR Sammy Watkins on the outside should allow him to exploit defenses underneath this season, according to Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com.

Footballguys view: It's hard to say exactly how much faith to put in second-year quarterback Mahomes. This sounds promising, but let's see this against actual defenders before we get too excited. That said it's worth noting even this early on, especially for those of you who own Mahomes in Dynasty leagues.

Chiefs | Demarcus Robinson on the rise    Sat Nov 18, 12:13 AM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Demarcus Robinson will have the opportunity to have some 'big games' going forward, according to offensive coordinator Matt Nagy.

Footballguys view: Dynasty owners need to take note here. Robinson, a fourth-round pick out of Florida in 2016, has been flashing in Chiefs camp for two years as he continues to develop his pro game. It's also important to note that Robinson seemed to have a good rapport with 2017 first-round QB Patrick Mahomes. We are buying Robinson's stock in all dynasty formats.

Chiefs | Two young WRs could see bigger role    Fri Nov 3, 06:43 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WRs Jehu Chesson and Demarcus Robinson could be in for larger roles in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys with WR Albert Wilson (hamstring) out. Head coach Andy Reid said Friday, Nov. 3, the team is unlikely to summon help from the practice squad.

Footballguys view: Robinson had a productive game against the Raiders and the Broncos matchup last week was a tough one for wide receivers. He's a viable desperation WR3/Flex because of the matchup against the Cowboys and the potential for a high-scoring game.

Chiefs | Demarcus Robinson getting first-team reps    Sat Jul 29, 11:28 AM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Demarcus Robinson has earned a number of first-string reps alongside Chris Conley and Tyreek Hill so far at training camp.

Footballguys view: A fourth-round pick out of Florida in 2016, Robinson has fantastic straight-line speed and run after the catch ability. He was just a special teams player as a rookie but has a chance to do something as a receiver this year. However, even if he wins the no3 job in Kansas City it won't be fantasy relevant.

Chiefs | Demarcus Robinson on the rise    Sat Jun 17, 12:03 AM

Kansas City Chiefs WR Demarcus Robinson has had a good offseason, according to head coach Andy Reid. 'He can go after it,' Reid said. 'He can run, and he can do the short stuff, too. His strength coming in was that he was good after the catch wherever you get it to him.'

Footballguys view: A fourth-round pick out of Florida in 2016, Robinson has vertical talent as a pass-catcher. He goes deep and does a good job tracking passes over his shoulder. Robinson may not do much with Alex Smith under center, but keep an eye on the chemistry he can establish with rookie gunslinger Patrick Mahomes.

Chiefs | Demarcus Robinson, Albert Wilson could start    Sun Jun 4, 06:25 PM

Kansas City Chiefs WRs Demarcus Robinson and Albert Wilson are considered the leading candidates for the starting receiver job opposite WR Chris Conley, in the opinion of ESPN.com's Adam Teicher.

Footballguys view: Tyreek Hill is the Chiefs WR to get excited about...not Robinson, Wilson or Conley. We'll watch their status in training camp in deep leagues, but most fantasy players need to concern themselves with the primary pieces of the passing attack in KC - Hill and TE Travis Kelce.
