Denver Broncos RB Kapri Bibbs, WR Isaiah Burse, WR Bennie Fowler, WR Nathan Palmer, C Matt Paradis and DE Gerald Rivers were signed to Reserve/Futures contracts Monday, Jan. 12.
Footballguys view: Bibbs and Fowler are the two players to watch here in super super deep dynasty leagues. Fowler was a UDFA out of Michigan State this year, and he has a lot of Anquan Boldin to his game. Bibbs was a star at Colorado State, and he runs with great balance and a nose for the end zone (31 rushing touchdowns for the Rams in 2013). |

The Denver Broncos signed free-agent DE Gerald Rivers (Rams) to their practice squad Wednesday, Oct. 15.
Footballguys view: Rivers (6-5, 258 pounds) is a second-year player who appeared in two games with St. Louis and Jacksonville in 2013 after signing with the Rams as a college free agent form the University of Mississippi. He competed with the Jaguars through training camp this year before being waived and spending four weeks on Miami's practice squad. |

The Jacksonville Jaguars waived C Mike Brewster, OG Drew Nowak, DE Gerald Rivers, QB Ricky Stanzi, WR Chad Bumphis, OT Cody Booth, DT DeAndre Coleman, DT Ricky Havili-Heimuli, S Craig Loston, QB Stephen Morris, P Kasey Redfern, OG Tyler Shatley, TE D.J. Tialavea and LB Marcus Whitfield Friday, Aug. 29.
Footballguys view: Morris might be able to stick around on the practice squad. He's a good athlete with a strong arm. His mechanics are nearly flawless when the pocket is clean, but his game falls apart under pressure. |

The Jacksonville Jaguars have been pleased with DEs Chris Clemons and Andre Branch during organized team activities and minicamp, which is why they felt they could release DE Jason Babin. Branch's burst off the ball and quickness around the edge is showing through, and he's consistently disrupted played in the backfield in 11-on-11 drills. LB Chris Smith doesn't fit the measurables for a hybrid end/linebacker, but the team liked what they saw from him at the Senior Bowl. LB Ryan Davis also doesn't have the typical LEO size, but the Jaguars are intrigued by his development. DE Gerald Rivers has worked at LEO and has the size to do so (6-foot-5, 258 pounds).
Footballguys view: The Jaguars have some defensive talent. Really, it's been the offense letting the team down more often than not. With this assembled group, they should be able to keep games close and hopefully the offense can do something with that. |
