Minnesota Vikings DT Tom Johnson (biceps) and Ss Mistral Raymond (concussion) and Jamarca Sanford (back) returned to practice Monday, Aug. 11, but CB Robert Blanton (hamstring) and LB Dom DeCicco (undisclosed) were not practicing. Head coach Mike Zimmer said he expects all the team's safeties to play in the second preseason game except for Blanton. TE Chase Ford (foot) appears to be 'probably 10 days' away from coming off the Physically Unable to Perform list.

Minnesota Vikings SS Jamarca Sanford and FS Mistral Raymond combined for zero interceptions from the second safety spot last season. CB Robert Blanton is a second-year player who plans to push the duo for a starting role, adding that he can be a ball hawk. 'It's definitely a strength of mine to have good eyes, see things well out there,' Blanton said. 'I'm not far off at all (from starting).'
