Free-agent QB Aaron Murray (Rams) is participating in the Chicago Bears' rookie minicamp this weekend on a tryout basis.
Footballguys view: Murray is a camp arm for the Bears. He has experience working with new Bears head coach Matt Nagy from the time he was a backup to Alex Smith with the Kansas City Chiefs. |

Free-agent QB Aaron Murray (Eagles) is signing an undisclosed deal with the Los Angeles Rams Thursday, March 9.
Footballguys view: He could be a solid backup, and if Jared Goff implodes, carry the load for a while, but Murray isn't someone we have high expectations for. |

Free-agent QB Aaron Murray (Eagles) worked out for the New York Jets Wednesday, Jan. 25.
Footballguys view: He won't be 'the answer' for the Jets' quarterback woes--though he has more upside than anyone they have now--but at the very least he can be a more reliable backup than what they have now. |

Free-agent QB Aaron Murray (Cardinals) signed with the Philadelphia Eagles' practice squad Tuesday, Sept. 13. WR Marcus Johnson was subsequently released.

Arizona Cardinals QB Aaron Murray was released from the practice squad Monday, Sept. 12.
Footballguys view: Murray was always an interesting fit under Bruce Arians. While Arians likes to go deep, Murray has limited arm strength and gets by on short-to-intermediate accuracy. We'll see if someone picks him up as a camp arm. |

Free-agent QB Aaron Murray (Chiefs) will sign with the Arizona Cardinals to be part of their practice squad, according to a source.
Footballguys view: It's an interesting fit for the Cardinals system. Murray is an accurate passer on short and underneath routes, but the Arizona system is all about going vertical -- not a strength of Murray's game. We'll see if he can make a better impression than he did with the Chiefs. |

Kansas City Chiefs QB Aaron Murray was waived Friday, Sept. 2, according to a source.
Footballguys view: Once Nick Foles was in house, you knew the clock was ticking. Nobody wanted to trade for him and he lost out to Tyler Bray. Murray has had better days. |

Kansas City Chiefs QB Tyler Bray will be the starting quarterback for the final preseason game Thursday, Sept. 1. QBs Aaron Murray and Kevin Hogan will also receive playing time during the game.
Footballguys view: Murray is being shopped around, but so far there have been no takers. Bray has a big arm, but control has been a problem with him dating back to his college days at Tennessee. Hogan was drafted this year, and we like him as a developmental prospect because of his toughness, leadership and moxie. |

Kansas City Chiefs QB Aaron Murray is available for trade.
Footballguys view: With the addition of Nick Foles, the Chiefs don't need Murray. He's an accurate passer on short to intermediate routes, and there may be some team interested in Murray as a developmental prospect. |
