Seahawks | Several may compete for returner job    Sat Jun 27, 02:56 PM

Seattle Seahawks WR Penny Hart, WR John Ursua, WR David Moore, RB DeeJay Dallas, RB Travis Homer and S Ugo Amadi may compete for the punt returner job during training camp.

Footballguys view: We think Hart could be the guy with the edge here. He was undrafted out of Georgia State in 2019 (Colts) but did flash in the pre-draft process, especially when he was at the Senior Bowl. He's lightning quick and has speed to his game to boot. That could work well as a return man and reserve receiver for Seattle in 2020.

Seahawks | Seattle advances to face Green Bay    Sun Jan 5, 07:44 PM

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson completed 18-of-30 passes for 325 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the NFC Wild Card Game Sunday, Jan. 5 against the Philadelphia Eagles. He also led the team with 45 rushing yards. RB Marshawn Lynch rushed six times for just seven yards, but he had a touchdown and 25 receiving yards. WR DK Metcalf had seven grabs for a game-best 160 yards and a touchdown, while WR Tyler Lockett had four grabs for 62 yards. WR David Moore also chipped in with 57 yards on two grabs, while TE Jacob Hollister had two grabs for 16 yards on four targets. S Bradley McDougald had 11 total stops with a sack, two tackles for loss and a quarterback hit, while LB/DE Jadeveon Clowney also had five total stops, a sack, two tackles for loss and a quarterback hit.

Footballguys view: The Seahawks are built for a deep postseason run and they got their first game out of the way. Playing on the road against the Packers is going to be much more difficult. Seattle didn't run the ball well against the Eagles and QB Russell Wilson was the team's leading rusher with 45 yards. They'll need to be better on the ground if they want to take down the Packers in the Divisional Round.

Seattle Seahawks WR David Moore is likely to see the biggest increase in playing time following the suspension of WR Josh Gordon, in the opinion of The Seattle Times' Bob Condotta.

Footballguys view: Moore has a deep ball skillset and made some tremendous catches last year. He could be a surprise Week 16 hit if the Arizona-Seattle game turns into a shootout.

Seahawks | David Moore heading toward playing    Wed Sep 18, 04:35 PM

Seattle Seahawks WR David Moore (shoulder) is on track to play Sunday, Sept. 22.

Footballguys view: Moore got a full week of practice in last week but the team felt he needed a bit more time before he returned to the playing field. He could play in Week 3 against the Saints. Moore could work as the No. 3 receiver for the Seahawks behind Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf.

Seattle Seahawks WR David Moore (shoulder) 'has a chance' to play in Week 3 versus the New Orleans Saints, according to comments made by head coach Pete Carroll on Monday, Sept. 16.

Footballguys view: We'll see if Moore can practice fully later in the week. If Moore is on the field for Seattle, he might work as the No. 3 wide receiver behind Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf. When he returns, it could negatively impact the snap count for a guy like Malik Turner.

Seahawks | David Moore remains sidelined    Tue Sep 3, 01:54 AM

Seattle Seahawks WR David Moore (arm) remains sidelined after suffering a broken humerus bone. 'Nothing is going to change for a while,' head coach Pete Carroll said Monday, Sept. 2. 'He had a crack in his shoulder, so he's just got to wait it out. He feels pretty darn (good). That's the problem with it. It's not hindering him in any way and there's no displacement. Like I said, he's going to feel like he's ready to play in a week or so but he's not going to be able to.'

Seahawks | David Moore will not go on IR    Tue Aug 27, 02:44 AM

Seattle Seahawks WR David Moore (shoulder) has a hairline fracture in his humerus. He received a second opinion and is not expected to be placed on the Reserve/Injured list, sources said Monday, Aug. 26.

Footballguys view: He will miss the start of the regular season, but should be back sooner rather than later. Moore is a great dynasty prospect to keep an eye on when healthy. The Seahawks WR corps is banged up with D.K. Metcalf getting his knee scoped last week. Expect Tyler Lockett to get a huge workload at the start of the season.

Seahawks | David Moore seeking second opinion    Fri Aug 23, 02:55 PM

Seattle Seahawks WR David Moore (shoulder) is in the process of getting a second opinion on his shoulder injury that is not expected to require surgery but cause him to miss at least the first game of the regular season, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Footballguys view: Jaron Brown will start Week 1 against the Bengals unless DK Metcalf has a very speedy recovery from knee surgery. UDFAs John Ursua and Jazz Ferguson could also get playing time early in the season with fourth-round pick Gary Jennings on the roster bubble.

Seahawks | David Moore locked in as starter?    Sat Jul 20, 10:34 PM

Seattle Seahawks WR David Moore will open the season as a top-three receiver, according to Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times.

Footballguys view: Moore was showing big play ability at the end of Russell Wilson downfield passes. If DK Metcalf can't stay healthy or isn't ready for a big role at the beginning of the season, Moore will rosterable and maybe even relevant for fantasy leagues. He's a fine late round target to hold at the end of redraft rosters while we wait to see how this shakes out.

Seahawks | David Moore making huge leap    Thu Jun 13, 06:11 PM

Seattle Seahawks WR David Moore has made a huge leap this offseason in his knowledge of the position and in his ability to play multiple spots, according to head coach Pete Carroll on Thursday, June 13.

Footballguys view: This is why Moore has spent time with the first-team offense in three-receiver sets during spring practices. The Seahawks are going to be a run-first offense in 2019, but more consistent usage of Moore could lead to steady production. Let's see what he looks like in the preseason.
