Vikings | Klint Kubiak to take over for dad in Minnesota? Thu Jan 21, 04:46 PM
Minnesota Vikings quarterbacks coach Klint Kubiak is expected by 'many' to replace his father, Gary Kubiak, as the offensive coordinator after the latter announced his retirement Thursday, Jan. 21, according to Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
| Footballguys view: That sounds about right. The younger Kubiak has been working as an assistant and is on the track to be a head coach, like his father used to be, some day. Kubiak would keep a lot of the wide-zone/Shanahan principles to the Vikings offense that has worked so well for guys like QB Kirk Cousins, RB Dalvin Cook and WRs Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson. |

Updating a previous report, the Minnesota Vikings have hired Denver Broncos offensive assistant Klint Kubiak as their quarterbacks coach.
| Footballguys view: Klint is the son of Gary Kubiak, Super Bowl winning coach and new offensive advisor for the Vikings. We should see Klint rise up the coaching ranks in a similar fashion to how Kyle Shanahan did the same thing (son of a Super Bowl winning coach) years ago. |

Denver Broncos offensive assistant/quarterbacks Klint Kubiak was promoted to quarterbacks coach Monday, Nov. 20.
| Footballguys view: Kubiak now gets to be in charge of a room with Paxton Lynch, Brock Osweiler and Trevor Siemian. The son of former Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak, we'll see if the young coach can help develop a player like Lynch behind the scenes. |

Vikings | Mike Priefer retained Thu Feb 6, 11:51 AM
The Minnesota Vikings have retained special teams coach Mike Priefer amid accusations by former P Chris Kluwe of making homophobic comments during the 2012 season. The team is conducting an independent investigation of Kluwe's allegations. Other coaches returning include wide receivers coach George Stewart, offensive line coach Jeff Davidson, assistant special teams coach Ryan Ficken and offensive quality control coach Klint Kubiak. Assistant quarterbacks coach Kevin Stefanski will become the tight ends coach. Former Cleveland Browns wide receivers coach Scott Turner, the son of offensive coordinator Norv Turner, will be the quarterbacks coach. Adam Zimmer, head coach Mike Zimmer's son, will coach the linebackers.
