Chiefs | Nine grabs for Travis Kelce    Mon Feb 12, 12:18 AM

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce caught nine of his 10 targets for a game-high 93 yards in a 25-22 overtime win over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII.

Footballguys view: Kelce came up big for the Chiefs. The team was struggling at times, but Kelce proved to be the steady target and playmaker that he's always been. His chemistry with QB Patrick Mahomes is special, and Kelce's play is a big reason why the Chiefs are back-to-back Super Bowl champions.

Chiefs | Travis Kelce puts on clinic in Charm City    Mon Jan 29, 04:25 PM

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce hauled in 11 receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets in the AFC Championship Game victory against the Baltimore Ravens. Kelce now has 156 receptions in 21 postseason games, passing Hall of Fame WR Jerry Rice for the most catches in NFL playoff history.

Footballguys view: Kelce finally looked like the dominant player we expected to see when he was going in the top half of the first round of fantasy drafts last summer. Even though his numbers were disappointing this year, he is countering the player in decline narrative with a strong postseason.

Chiefs | Travis Kelce playing next year    Mon Jan 29, 12:00 PM

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce recently confirmed he intends to play in 2024.

Footballguys view: "Intends to" is doing a lot of work here, but in dynasty leagues we should proceed as if Kelce will play in 2024 when valuing him in trades. If you try to trade him before the Super Bowl, you'll have to give a discount because of retirement rumors - rumors that could be confirmed before you have a chance to trade him if you don't do it before the showdown with the 49ers.

Chiefs | Travis Kelce catches five passes    Mon Dec 25, 04:49 PM

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce caught five passes for 44 yards against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 16. He was targeted seven times during the game.

Footballguys view: Some Fantasy GMs with Kelce as their starting tight end might not be making it to the championship. Teams are selling out to box Kelce up, and that puts pressure on other targets to do something for QB Patrick Mahomes (note; they're failing).

Chiefs | Trevis Kelce quiet in Week 15    Sun Dec 17, 05:08 PM

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce caught five passes for 28 yards against the New England Patriots in Week 15. He was targeted seven times during the game.

Footballguys view: Kelce had a touchdown glance off of his hands when he heard footsteps and just wasn't a big factor in this game. If fantasy teams were able to advance despite this result, they'll get to start Kelce against the Raiders team he posted a 6-91 line against back in Week 12.

Chiefs | Travis Kelce has quiet day    Sun Nov 5, 12:55 PM

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce caught three passes for 14 receiving yards in Week 9's game against the Miami Dolphins. He was targeted four times during the game.

Footballguys view: The Dolphins blanketed Kelce in coverage and wouldn't let him beat them in Week 9. Kelce is still the most valuable tight end in fantasy, but this game is a reminder that he can be blotted out if he's the focus of the defense after a couple of huge outbursts on the stat sheet in Weeks 6 and 7.

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (ankle) had nine receptions for 124 yards in the team's 19-8 win over the Denver Broncos on Thursday, Oct. 12. He was targeted nine times.

Footballguys view: Kelce got a little banged up in the second half, but will have three extra days to heal and rest before next week's divisional showdown with the Chargers. He has ended up delivering the promised value after missing Week 1 and getting off to a slow start in fantasy terms once he returned to the field.

Chiefs | Travis Kelce to practice Tuesday    Tue Oct 10, 02:06 PM

Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce (ankle) will participate in practice on Tuesday, Oct. 10, according to head coach Andy Reid.

Footballguys view: Kelce was listed as a 'DNP' on Monday's estimated practice report. Let's keep an eye on this situation as the Chiefs play the Broncos on Thursday night. If Kelce can't go, the Chiefs would turn to Noah Gray against a defense that gives it up against tight ends. Against the worst defense in the league, Gray would be worth a 'what the heck' start if Kelce is out of action.
