Denver Broncos TEs Marcel Jensen and Dominique Jones were waived Saturday, Sept. 5.
Footballguys view: The Broncos have only two tight ends (Owen Daniels, Virgil Green) on the 53-man roster. Expect them to look for tight end help via waivers or free agency. |

The Denver Broncos re-signed TE Dominique Jones Thursday, Dec. 18. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: This is a depth move at best, not worth adding him to your roster. However, signing Jones to the active roster means we may see Jacob Tamme (ribs) out on Monday night. |

Denver Broncos TE Virgil Green continued to lead the team's tight ends in snaps with 50 in Week 15 against the San Diego Chargers, even with TE Julius Thomas (ankle) back on the field. Thomas played just 29 snaps in his first game back from injury. OT Chris Clark also lined up as an extra tight end for seven snaps in the team's first two possessions. TE Dominique Jones played four snaps at tight end.
Footballguys view: Green leads the team in snaps at the TE position because he is a great blocker, and the Broncos are a run-heavy team. |

Footballguys view: Getting Trevathan back will be a boost for the Broncos defense. He'll be eased back into the lineup, and those close to the team are thinking Trevathan will play about 25 snaps. |

The Denver Broncos signed TE Dominique Jones (Bills) to the team's practice squad Tuesday, Sept. 9. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

The Buffalo Bills cut LB Xavius Boyd, DT Landon Cohen, TE Dominique Jones, CB Kamaal McIlwain, CB Sam Miller, P Brian Moorman, QB Jordan Palmer, FB Evan Rodriguez, WR Naaman Roosevelt and OL Jared Wheeler Friday, Aug. 29.
Footballguys view: None of these should come as a surprise. Without Palmer, the team will need to add a veteran backup. They currently only have Jeff Tuel as the primary backup behind E.J. Manuel. |

Buffalo Bills TEs Chris Gragg and Dominique Jones may be the only two tight ends that are able to play in the Hall of Fame game because of injuries to TEs Scott Chandler (groin), Tony Moeaki (hamstring) and Lee Smith (leg).
Footballguys view: We're shocked (shocked I tell ya) that Moeaki is banged up. /sarcasm. The Bills will be a bit thin at the position with all those injuries at tight end. We'll see if either Gragg or Jones can take advantage of the opportunity. |
