Updating previous reports, free-agent RB Josh Jacobs (Raiders) and S Xavier McKinney (Giants) officially signed with the Green Bay Packers Friday, March 15. Terms of the contracts were not disclosed, but earlier reports stated Jacobs signed a four-year contract worth $48 million, while McKinney signed a four-year contract worth $68 million.

Jacobs will land somewhere in 2024, likely with a starting job but he may not get the contract he could have due to this injury. |

Las Vegas Raiders RB Josh Jacobs was 'close to' playing last week, interim head coach Antonio Pierce said on Wednesday, Dec. 20. Pierce also added, 'if I had to be a betting man, I would think he would play this game.'

| Footballguys view: Jacobs had what looked like a touchdown catch, but couldn't get both feet down inbounds upon review. After some glimmers of hope, Jacobs is back to having the value that comes with being the clear lead back in one of the leagues worst offenses. The Ravens broke through against the Lions defense today, but the Raiders aren't nearly as well-equipped to compete with them Monday night. Jacobs remains in lineups because of his guaranteed volume and role, and we'll hope Jimmy Garoppolo can stay healthy for the rest of the season. |
