Cardinals | Andy Isabella eyeing bigger role?    Sun Aug 30, 07:32 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Andy Isabella is a player that head coach Kliff Kingsbury has identified as someone he wants to use more often in 2020.'I have to do a better job of expanding his role and finding ways to get him on the field and get him utilized,' Kingsbury told reporters Sunday, Aug. 30.

Cardinals | Andy Isabella growing in confidence    Thu Aug 13, 07:42 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Andy Isabella is more confident entering his second NFL season, according to wide receivers coach David Raih. 'Last year was a huge growth period for him,' Raih said. 'Right now, he's just more confident and he's playing more loosely. His technique is more natural. He's just got a successful approach at life. Because of his preparation, you just trust him.'

Footballguys view: Isabella showed the speed that got him drafted in the second round last year, but the team didn't seem ready to trust him in regular duty last year despite having a shortage of viable wide receivers. If he or 2019 fourth round pick Hakeem Butler start to live up to billing this year with DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk, and Larry Fitzgerald in the top three wide receiver spots, the Cardinals passing game will be very difficult to defend.

Cardinals | Andy Isabella lacking versatility?    Sun Apr 5, 10:10 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Andy Isabella finished with nine catches as a rookie, playing just 38 snaps over the first eight games, and he was limited to 'fly routes and jet sweeps' because of his inability to separate on shorter routes, according to Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com.

Footballguys view: Isabella has plenty of speed, but he needs to gain better separation if he wants to be a more well-rounded player. With DeAndre Hopkins taking so much attention away from the defense, guys like Isabella could do some damage in the passing game.

Cardinals | Arizona rookie WRs won't see increased snaps    Fri Dec 20, 12:35 AM

Arizona Cardinals WRs Andy Isabella and KeeSean Johnson will not increased usage over the season's final two weeks, according to AZCardinals.com's Darren Urban.

Footballguys view: The Cardinals rookie wide receiver class has been a bust this year. We shouldn't give up on them in dynasty leagues, but we also shouldn't be surprised when the team seeks more talent at the position in the draft and free agency.

Cardinals | Three more grabs for Andy Isabella    Sun Nov 10, 07:50 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Andy Isabella posted three catches for 78 yards on three targets in Week 10 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Footballguys view: Isabella got free for a long gain for the second straight week and his arrow is pointing up for the stretch run. He's worth rostering for better matchups down the line than Week 11's game at San Francisco.

Cardinals | Andy Isabella scores long TD    Fri Nov 1, 01:00 AM

Arizona Cardinals WR Andy Isabella caught one pass for 88 yards and a touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers on Thursday, Oct. 31.

Footballguys view: Isabella got behind his man and then sped and zig-zagged through the rest of the defense for the score. The Cardinals have to get him more involved after witnessing this play. He should be picked up in long bench leagues at a minimum.

Cardinals | Bigger role for Andy Isabella?    Thu Oct 10, 09:29 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Andy Isabella will be more involved in the offense moving forward, according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. 'I like where he's heading,' Kingsbury said. 'It has nothing to do with us being disappointed. His work ethic is through the roof, and his talent is through the roof. We'll get him going.'

Footballguys view: Kingsbury is saying the right things, but if Isabella was progressing well in the offense, he would have stuck with one position instead of being switched from inside to outside receiver, even with the team needing help inside more than outside right now.

Cardinals | Andy Isabella back to work    Tue Aug 6, 03:54 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Andy Isabella (knee) returned to practice Tuesday, Aug. 6.

Footballguys view: Isabella only missed a few days of camp with this knee injury. The rookie from UMASS has speed to burn and is an exciting downfield option for the Cardinals offense. The room is cramped further with the addition of Michael Crabtree on Monday. We'll see how the pecking order shapes up behind starters Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk.

Cardinals | Andy Isabella battling drops    Sun Aug 4, 10:22 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Andy Isabella has 'dropped too many passes' so far during training camp, according to Scott Bordow of The Athletic.

Footballguys view: Isabella was considered a favorite to get the most snaps of the rookie wideouts in Arizona because he was the highest pick, but he hasn't had a good summer. His speed is still very exciting and a big play waiting to happen, but he might be slow to develop in a new offensive scheme.

Cardinals | Andy Isabella sidelined    Fri Aug 2, 02:04 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Andy Isabella (knee) is dealing with a 'minor knee issue' but should be back 'sooner than later,' according to head coach Kliff Kingsbury. Isabella is expected to be ready for the team's first preseason game against the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday, Aug. 8, although Kingsbury told reporters the team will not 'press it.'

Footballguys view: Isabella missing time won't help his bid to get off of the second team. He's still a stash in redraft leagues as a potential big play threat in this offense, but KeeSean Johnson's value continues to grow in one of the best stories of Arizona camp.

Cardinals | Andy Isabella set to produce right away?    Mon Jul 15, 03:57 PM

Arizona Cardinals WR Andy Isabella seems like 'a sure thing to have an initial chance,' in the opinion of Darren Urban of AZcardinals.com.

Footballguys view: Isabella has speed to burn and he's capable of playing in the slot. He played mostly outside the numbers for UMASS and has the versatility to play in either spot. We love his stock in dynasty formats and super late in drafts, the rookie makes for a 'what the heck' upside pick in redraft leagues.

Cardinals | Andy Isabella primed for WR3?    Fri Jun 28, 11:26 AM

Arizona Cardinals WR Andy Isabella will be a major factor on offense, and he could wind up starting in the slot, according to beat writer Darren Urban.

Footballguys view: Isabella has the speed to take any target to the house if he is lost by the defense, but needs to tighten up his route running to take advantage of it. The air raid offense won't ask for precise route running as much as a feel for finding space, but Isabella needs to show more urgency than he did in Senior Bowl practices in either case. He's worth a late pick to get a part of the most exciting offense debut of the season.
