Free-agent WR Trindon Holliday (49ers) was signed to an undisclosed deal by the Oakland Raiders Wednesday, June 3, according to a source.
Footballguys view: Holliday is not much of a wide receiver, but the 5'5" return man can make things happen on special teams. If he makes the team (not a given), Holliday isn't much of a fantasy factor. |

San Francisco 49ers WR Trindon Holliday was released Thursday, April 30, while OG Fou Fonoti and WR Lance Lewis were waived.
Footballguys view: Just clearing space for rookies and undrafted free agents. Holliday made a few splashes, but overall isn't worth them hanging onto him. |

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring), WR Trindon Holliday (hamstring), CB Prince Amukamara (groin), OT Charles Brown (shoulder), OT James Brewer (back), OG Geoff Schwartz (toe), OG Brandon Mosley (back) and DT Markus Kuhn are not expected to play Thursday, Aug. 28.
Footballguys view: Well aside from Beckham who the Giants would really love to get on the field this decade, none of this is a concern. Perhaps it would matter more if Eli Manning had a lot more snaps so he and ODBjr could get more in sync with him, but that's not the case. Beckham has little to no value right now - maybe you can argue he has WR6 value with upside if he ever gets on the field - and isn't more than a "hail mary" pick late in your draft, if you can't find better value with more of a chance of paying off. |

New York Giants WR Trindon Holliday (leg) is not close to returning to practice, according to head coach Tom Coughlin.
Footballguys view: If Holliday can't get healthy, he's no lock to make the final roster. He's a dangerous return man (for both teams), but he's a liability as a receiver. |

New York Giants WR Odell Beckham Jr. (hamstring), TE Daniel Fells (knee), WR Trindon Holliday (leg) and TE Xavier Grimble (hamstring) did not practice Tuesday, Aug. 5.
Footballguys view: Beckham needs to get healthy and get right before he gets back on the football field. He's a talented rookie, but fantasy owners are going to have to be patient when waiting for him to get back to action. |

New York Giants WR Trindon Holliday (leg) is not participating in practice Tuesday, July 29.
Footballguys view: Even though Holliday is a dangerous return man, he's likely on the bubble for the Giants. He can't miss too much practice during training camp if he wants to make a positive impression on the coaching staff. |

New York Giants WR Trindon Holliday, WR Odell Beckham Jr., WR Victor Cruz and WR Rueben Randle all are returning punts in practice Tuesday, July 22.
Footballguys view: Holliday should be the primary return man for the Giants this year. He's dangerous with the ball in his hands--for both teams. Holliday fell out of favor with the Broncos because of fumbling problems. If he can hang onto the rock, he's the best option for the Giants. Beckham, Cruz and Randle are going to be heavily involved in the passing game. They don't need to risk injury to any of these guys with playing time on special teams. |

New York Giants WR Trindon Holliday likely will not make much of a contribution on offense this upcoming season because he was signed to be a kick and punt returner.
Footballguys view: Holliday is not much of an option at wide receiver. He's a return man only--and a dangerous one at that....for both teams. Holliday has the speed and quickness to score any time he touches the ball. However, he's dangerous for his own team because he's had bad problems with fumbling. |

New York Giants WR Trindon Holliday likely will be used as the primary kick and punt returner if he makes the final roster. Holliday probably will have to show that he can be a wide receiver as well if he wants to make the team.
Footballguys view: That's pretty much all Holliday is. He's a dangerous return man with the ball in his hands--for both teams. Holliday has the quickness and speed to take it to the house, but he also fumbles a lot which makes him a risky return man. His playing time as a return man was cut short with the Broncos last year as he couldn't take care of the rock. |

The New York Giants may decide not to use WR Odell Beckham Jr. as a kick returner if he wins one of the starting wide receiver jobs. Beckham is a candidate for the kick returner job along with WR Trindon Holliday and SS Quintin Demps.
Footballguys view: They added Holliday in free agency, so there's no need for Beckham to be returning kicks. The talented rookie could win the starting job opposite Victor Cruz in 2014. |

New York Giants WR Trindon Holliday appears to be the leading candidate for the punt return job at this point.
Footballguys view: That's all Holliday can do. He's listed as a "Wide Receiver" but no team should be throwing him the ball. If he can't win the returner job, then the team should cut him. |

Updating a previous report, the New York Giants signed WR Trindon Holliday to a one-year deal worth $700,000.
Footballguys view: Holliday is depth and not much else. He may not even find a roster spot come the end of August. |

New York Giants WR Trindon Holliday said he has already talked to head coach Tom Coughlin about ball security and it is something they are going to work on moving forward. "We had the discussions already," Holliday said. "He said him and me were going to get real acquainted with ball security. I don't have a problem with that. I've have had some miscues of handling the ball, but it's not going to take much for me to fix that."
Footballguys view: Holliday was essentially benched last year at times with the Broncos. He's dangerous with the ball--for both teams. Holliday needs to work on his ball security if he's going to make an impact with the Giants. |
Trindon Holliday player page

New York Giants WR Trindon Holliday is the leading candidate to return punts for the team next season, but SS Quintin Demps could also mix in, if needed.
Footballguys view: That's why Holliday was added. There's "WR" next to his name, but Holliday should not be involved on offense. He's a dangerous return man who can score any time he touches the ball--so long as he holds onto the rock. |

The New York Giants agreed to terms with free-agent WR Trindon Holliday (Broncos) on an undisclosed one-year deal Monday, March 17.
Footballguys view: Holliday is dangerous as a return man--for both teams. He's explosive in the open field, but ball security issues basically caused him to see limited time as a return man in Denver last year. |

The Atlanta Falcons will visit with free-agent WR Trindon Holliday (Broncos) Saturday, March 15.

The Denver Broncos will not tender an offer to restricted free-agent WR Trindon Holliday, which will make him an unrestricted free agent.
Footballguys view: No surprises here. Holliday failed to make much of an impact in 2013. He's a dangerous return man, but ball-security issues plagued him last season. |
