Los Angeles Rams QB John Wolford started for the injured QB Jared Goff (thumb) in a must-win game in Week 17 against the Arizona Cardinals, and he helped his team to an 18-7 win and playoff berth. He also led the team with 56 rushing yards, while RB Cam Akers was mostly bottled up with 21 carries and just 34 yards while adding four grabs for 52 yards. WR Van Jefferson went for four grabs and 50 yards on eight targets, while TE Tyler Higbee chipped in with three grabs and 41 yards on four targets. WR Robert Woods ended with four receptions and 36 yards, WR Josh Reynolds had four catches and 29 yards and TE Gerald Everett wrapped up the season with two catches and 25 yards on seven targets.
Footballguys view: Wolford was a weapon as a runner and adequate as a passer. The Rams made the playoffs with the win and should have a shot to win even if Wolford has to start next week. |

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee (elbow) is expected to be a game-time decision in Week 12 versus the San Francisco 49ers, according to head coach Sean McVay.
Footballguys view: The Rams have a talented duo at the tight end position with Higbee and Gerald Everett. If Higbee can't play, then Everett could post TE1 numbers in Week 12. |

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee (hand) is active for Week 8's game against the Miami Dolphins.
Footballguys view: This takes a little edge off of Gerald Everett's upside this week. Higbee is barely rosterable after being the #1 fantasy tight end in December last year. |

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee (hand) is pushing to play in Week 8's game against the Miami Dolphins but could be held out of action to continue healing since the team has a bye in Week 9.
Footballguys view: Gerald Everett is a suitable tight end play if you are hard up for options today. |

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee (hand) could be ready to play against the Miami Dolphins in Week 8, according to head coach Sean McVay Tuesday, Oct. 27.
Footballguys view: The hope for Higbee from a fantasy perspective is next year when Gerald Everett moves on in free agency. The Rams have a TEBC when both are healthy and Everett is more productive. Higbee could have some big games here or there but he'll really be valuable from a fantasy lens when he's the lone and lead tight end. |

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee (hand) is hopeful to play Monday, Oct. 26, according to head coach Sean McVay Saturday, Oct. 24.
Footballguys view: We might see him out there against the Bears on Monday night. Fantasy GMs have whiffed with Higbee this season as he's working in a TEBC with Gerald Everett. Higbee is a TE2 for Fantasy GMs and that's about it. |

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee registered two catches for 40 yards on two targets in Week 3 against the Buffalo Bills.
Footballguys view: Higbee at least caught a two point conversion. He didn't live up to expectations set by a three touchdown game last week, but the Bills got their starting linebackers back this week. The Giants will be an easier matchup in Week 4. |

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee caught five passes for 54 yards and three touchdowns against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2. He was targeted five times during the game.
Footballguys view: Higbee was schemed open on his scores so it's always possible that he fades into the background if Sean McVay likes other parts of the playbook better against the Bills next week. This kind of weekly ceiling shows that he's still a TE1 even with the ups and downs. |

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee had three receptions for 40 yards against the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, Sept. 13.

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee had a 33-percent target rate when the Rams were trailing in 2019. That matched San Francisco 49ers TE George Kittle for the highest percentage in the league, according to Pro Football Focus data.
Footballguys view: Higbee is one of the toughest puzzles of 2020 drafts. He was the best fantasy tight end down the stretch after Gerald Everett got hurt, but was a fantasy non-factor before that. Everett is healthy, but it's possible that the chemistry established between Jared Goff and Higbee will be undeniable this year and Higbee will outperform his ADP that splits the difference between the two levels of production. |

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee could be in for a bigger role in 2020 after exploding last year with 69 receptions, 734 yards and three touchdowns. Higbee caught at least seven passes in each of the team's final five games and had more than 100 yards receiving in four games in a row last year. It is expected, according to the LA Times' Gary Klein, that head coach Sean McVay utilizes Higbee and TE Gerald Everett even more this year.

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee had 43 catches for 522 yards and two touchdowns in the month of December last season compared to 26 catches, 212 yards and one score over the first three months combined.
Footballguys view: Higbee really emerged in 2019 as the threat we thought he could be when he came out of Western Kentucky a few years ago. He's a TE1 for Fantasy GMs in 2020 in a Rams offense that will look different without RB Todd Gurley. |
Tyler Higbee player page

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee finished 2019 as Pro Football Focus' fourth highest graded tight end (minimum 500 snaps).
Footballguys view: Higbee has always had TE1 upside in the NFL, and he finally started to live up to that potential in 2019. He'll be in the TE1 conversation again in 2020, even though Gerald Everett is still on the roster and could take some targets away. |

Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff completed 29 of his 45 passes for 319 yards and three touchdowns in a 31-24 win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 17. RB Todd Gurley rushed 20 times for 68 yards and caught both of his targets for 21 yards, and RB Malcolm Brown rushed nine times for 26 yards and a touchdown and caught one pass for six yards. WR Cooper Kupp caught seven of his 10 targets for 99 yards and a score, WR Robert Woods caught seven of his 12 targets for 67 yards and a touchdown, WR Brandin Cooks hauled in three of his five targets for 40 yards, and TE Tyler Higbee caught eight of his 12 targets for 84 yards and a touchdown.

Los Angeles Rams QB Jared Goff said he trusts TE Tyler Higbee 'as much as anybody' in the offense. 'He does have that big frame, that big wingspan,' Goff said. 'I can kind of throw it anywhere near him he's got great hands, he's shown all that. We do like using him on stuff where I can miss a little bit at times. He can make that play.'
Footballguys view: Higbee had as good a run as a fantasy tight end as we've seen all year once Gerald Everett got hurt. He was signed to a long term extension earlier this year, but Everett will be back next year for the last year of his rookie deal, so Higbee's 2020 fantasy outlook will be tough to determine. |

Los Angeles Rams TE Tyler Higbee caught nine of his 11 targets for 104 yards in a 34-31 loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 16, becoming the fourth tight end to top 100 yards in four consecutive games.
Footballguys view: Higbee stayed hot even though he got banged up in the game. Gerald Everett's return didn't slow him down. It will be difficult to determine how the Rams will deploy their talented tight end duo in 2020. |
