The New England Patriots appeared to be using a series-by-series rotation between RBs Fred Taylor and BenJarvis Green-Ellis, reports Mike Reiss, of ESPNBoston.com. Green-Ellis was involved in more plays during the game than Taylor was, while RB Kevin Faulk also saw time with the offense.
Footballguys view: The Patriots backfield is very confusing for fantasy owners. Only Kevin Faulk has a clearly defined role, and he's not making it into many fantasy lineups. |

Frank Schwab, from the Colorado Springs Gazette, reports the Broncos have been releasing comments with each of their free-agent signings (a nice touch - in the old regime there were periods where we would go weeks without comment because Mike Shanahan had nothing to say and therefore, nobody else could say anything either).
Footballguys view: Broncos fans should be happy with what the Broncos have done over the last couple of days. Their defense wore down as the season went on, and they are making moves to prevent that from happening in 2010. |

Mike Reiss, of ESPNBoston.com, reports unrestricted free-agent DL Jarvis Green (Patriots) is scheduled to meet with the Denver Broncos, according to his agent Albert Elias.
Footballguys view: More of the Patriots/Broncos pipeline here. Green knows the system, and the Broncos are looking for improved play from their defensive line which faded down the stretch last season. |

Mike Reiss, of ESPNBoston.com, reports New England Patriots DL Jarvis Green is open to signing a contract extension to remain in New England, although he said that won't come before he tests the free-agent market starting March 5. 'Definitely this year, I'm going to experience the market,' Green said. 'I think for any player in their NFL career they need to experience that, and this will be my first time. I had the chance five years ago but I re-signed with the team, so this has been different for me, and it's been cool not being obligated to anyone but my family, my wife and kids.'
