Updating a previous report, Carolina Panthers FS Charles Godfrey's restructured contract will have a base salary of $750,000 for the 2014 season. The deal includes $106,250 per-game in active roster bonuses, a $100,000 workout bonus, and $100,000 in incentives. In 2015 and 2016, Godfrey's base salary will remain $5 million and $5.3 million, respectively.

Carolina Panthers FS Charles Godfrey (Achilles') suffered an Achilles' injury in the Week 2 game against the Buffalo Bills, and he was on crutches after the game while wearing a walking boot. Head coach Ron Rivera was concerned, and two of Godfrey's teammates feared the injury might be of the season-ending variety. 'The docs have to look at it and let me know,' Godfrey said Sunday, Sept. 15. 'They said they're going to look at the X-rays a little bit more when we get back.'
