Jacksonville Jaguars QB Mike Glennon will start in Week 17 against the Indianapolis Colts.
Footballguys view: No quarterback competition this week. Glennon finishes out the season as the starter and Gardner Minshew ends the season on the bench. The Jaguars will have a potential superstar in 2021 no.1 overall pick Trevor Lawrence (Clemson) next season. |

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Mike Glennon will start Week 16's game against the Chicago Bears.
Footballguys view: The Jaguars had a quarterback competition during the week of practice and Glennon came out on top. That's not an exciting option for Fantasy GMs, so adjust expectations for Jaguars skill position players accordingly. James Robinson's status for Week 16 is up in the air due to an ankle injury. It's a great time to start the Bears defense if you can. |

Jacksonville Jaguars QBs Gardner Minshew and Mike Glennon will split the first-team reps in practice this week, according to head coach Doug Marrone, who said the duo is competing to see who will start against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Dec. 27.
Footballguys view: There's nothing like a quarterback competition during the week of practice. The Jaguars will have the no.1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft if they just lose out. Expect that to happen so they can secure the services of potential superstar Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence. |

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Mike Glennon will remain the team's starting quarterback for Week 13's game against the Minnesota Vikings, even though QB Gardner Minshew has fully recovered from his thumb injury.
Footballguys view: Head coach Doug Marrone made the decision after meeting with offensive coordinator Jay Gruden and quarterbacks coach Ben McAdoo, while trying to determine which quarterback gave the team its best chance of winning. |

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Mike Glennon will start in Week 12 for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Footballguys view: Jake Luton goes back to the bench after his four-interception performance against the Steelers. Gardner Minshew is not yet ready to return from his thumb injury and that leaves Glennon as the guy the Jaguars turn to. James Robinson has been a quarterback-proof RB1 this year and D.J. Chark is worth considering as a WR3/flex play in Week 12. |

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Gardner Minshew is in danger of being benched in favor of QB Mike Glennon if he continues to struggle, according to multiple sources. A move could be made as soon as Week 7's game versus the Los Angeles Chargers.
Footballguys view: DJ Chark explaining that the Jaguars receivers were open when asked how the Lions shut him down last week was the telltale sign that things were not well with Minshew. Mike Glennon would probably come in today if necessary, but the team could switch to Jake Luton after the bye. |

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Mike Glennon was promoted to the active roster Tuesday, Sept. 8. LB Quincy Williams (abdomen) was placed on the Reserve/Injured list. Free-agent CB Sidney Jones (Eagles) was signed to the practice squad.

Jaacksonville Jaguars QBs Mike Glennon and Joshua Dobbs on Saturday, Sept. 5, were released, according to a source. One of the two could be re-signed after the 53-man roster shakes out, in the opinion of NFL reporter Ian Rapoport.
Footballguys view: Rookie sixth-round pick Jake Luton is the only quarterback on the roster now behind starter Gardner Minshew. We could see Glennon signed back with the team to give them veteran depth. |

Updating a previous story, free-agent QB Mike Glennon (Raiders) officially signed an undisclosed deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars Tuesday, May 12.
Footballguys view: Glennon is a seasoned backup with plenty of starting experience if the Jaguars need him. This is a clear sign they are 'all in' on Gardner Minshew as their starting quarterback...for this year at least. Some felt the Jaguars would be a landing spot for Cam Newton where he could have the starting job. That's not the case now as it seems unlikely Jacksonville would add Newton after signing Glennon. Instead, Minshew will get this year to prove he can be the starter for the future. He showed flashes last year as a rookie but 'Minshew Mania' was not without plenty of rough patches. |

Free-agent QB Mike Glennon (Raiders) agreed to terms with the Jacksonville Jaguars, a source said Friday, May 8. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: The Jaguars aren't going to have a shot in the arm off of the bench at quarterback if Gardner Minshew doesn't regain his 2019 first half form. They should be considered the favorites to get the #1 pick in 2021. |

Oakland Raiders QB Mike Glennon will serve as the backup quarterback, according to a source.
Footballguys view: We won't see Glennon on the field so long as starter Derek Carr stays healthy. It sounds like the Raiders want to keep Nathan Peterman as their No. 3 quarterback. |

Oakland Raiders QB Nathan Peterman is 'growing' on head coach Jon Gruden, who mentioned Peterman's athleticism, smarts and consistency when asked about the team's backup quarterback job.
Footballguys view: Gruden has always liked Peterman, dating back to when he came out of PITT a few years ago. The Raiders only have Mike Glennon as the other quarterback to compete with Peterman to be the primary backup to Derek Carr in 2019. |

Free-agent QB Mike Glennon (Raiders) signed with the Oakland Raiders Friday, March 22. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Arizona Cardinals QB Mike Glennon and S Antoine Bethea were released Friday, March 8.

Arizona Cardinals QB Sam Bradford is the clear favorite for the starting quarterback job, according to head coach Steve Wilks.
Footballguys view: It's not a surprise given Bradford's experience as a starter in the NFL. QBs Josh Rosen and Mike Glennon will be competing for the No. 2 quarterback job. We expect 2018 first-round pick Josh Rosen to take over at some point this season as he's the quarterback of the future. |

Updating a previous report, free-agent QB Mike Glennon (Bears) agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals Wednesday, March 14, worth $8 million, according to a source.
Footballguys view: Glennon gets to back up Sam Bradford for the Cardinals. That means Arizona fans should get ready for Glennon to start at some point this year as Bradford is one of the more oft-injured QBs in the league. |

Chicago Bears QB Mike Glennon, who is expected to be released by the team Wednesday, March 14, agreed to terms on an undisclosed contract with the Arizona Cardinals on Tuesday, March 13.
Footballguys view: With Sam Bradford under contract, the Cardinals needed to add a veteran backup. Bradford doesn't have a track record of staying healthy, so Glennon may see the field in 2018. Even with two quarterbacks added in free agency, we expect the Cardinals to explore their options at the position in the 2018 NFL draft. |

Chicago Bears QB Mike Glennon is expected to be on the radar of the Arizona Cardinals once he is officially released by the Bears on Wednesday, March 14.
Footballguys view: The Cardinals are running out of options. They wanted to be in on Kirk Cousins, but that was a pipe dream. With Cousins going to the Vikings, and Case Keenum going to the Broncos, Arizona is looking at guys like Glennon and then likely selecting a quarterback in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft. |

Updating previous reports, Chicago Bears QB Mike Glennon was informed he'll be released when the new league year opens, according to general manager Ryan Pace.
Footballguys view: Pace missed in a big way on Glennon...in a move that costs the Bears $18.5 million for one year's worth of service. Glennon started four games before getting replaced by Mitchell Trubisky. He'll look for backup work somewhere around the league and should have a bit of a market. |

Chicago Bears QB Mike Glennon is expected to play elsewhere in 2018 according to ESPN's Jeff Dickerson, who put the odds of Glennon returning at 'virtually nil.'
Footballguys view: The Bears probably knew this outcome was likely as soon as they zeroed in on Mitchell Trubisky in last year's draft. The Buccaneers could bring Glennon back to be their #2 behind Jameis Winston. The team reportedly offered him a contract that would have made him the highest paid backup in the league last year. Like Denver with Brock Osweiler they can get their man a lot cheaper now because they came in second when he was on the open market. |

Chicago Bears QB Mike Glennon was replaced as the starting quarterback by QB Mitchell Trubisky, according to sources.
Footballguys view: It was only a matter of time for Glennon, and this outcome is not surprising in the least. The only surprising thing is that this benching didn't happen sooner. Glennon was a turnover machine with eight turnovers (five interceptions, three lost fumbles) in four games as the Bears starter. |

Chicago Bears head coach John Fox said he would 'evaluate everything,' including QB Mike Glennon, ahead of the Week 5 matchup with the Minnesota Vikings.
Footballguys view: The Bears have a tough matchup against the Vikings in Week 5 and could decide to hold out Mitchell Trubisky to give him a less turbulent first start, but the team also appears to be fed up with Glennon. Trubisky certainly won't be a downgrade for the offense when he gets installed as the starter. |

Chicago Bears QB Mike Glennon completed 21 of 33 passes for 218 yards and a touchdown against the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football. He also turned the ball over four times, throwing two interceptions and losing a pair of fumbles.
Footballguys view: Glennon's numbers mostly came when the Bears were behind big in part because of his numerous mistakes. He might not start Week 5 against the Vikings. Mitchell Trubisky should be on the deep league, superflex and 2QB radar, especially after his strong preseason. |

Chicago Bears QB Mike Glennon went 31-for-45 for 301 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 2.
Footballguys view: Glennon was completely ineffective in the first half and his turnovers along with Tarik Cohen's muffed punt basically gave the Bucs no chance. The Mitchell Trubisky doomsday clock gets closer to midnight with the Steelers up next. |
Mike Glennon player page

Chicago Bears QB Mike Glennon completed 26 of his 40 pass attempts for 213 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in the Week 1 game against the Falcons.
Footballguys view: Glennon wasn't able to get much going downfield, but he did drive the team down the field for four shots at a game-winning touchdown and twice made a throw good enough to win the game. He's not much for fantasy next week at Tampa, but he'll keep Mitchell Trubisky on the bench with performances like this one. |

Chicago Bears QB Mike Glennon went 11-for-18 for 134 yards and one touchdown in the preseason game against the Tennessee Titans Sunday, Aug. 27.
Footballguys view: Glennon did more to instill confidence in his abilities than he had at any point this summer. Mitchell Trubisky has looked better, but against second-team defenses. Glennon should get at least 3-4 games to show his wares before the team would consider pulling him. |

Chicago Bears QB Mike Glennon is the strong favorite to open the season as the starter based on everything the team has said, in the opinion of beat writer Brad Biggs.
Footballguys view: Glennon should be the starter at the beginning of the regular season. The team spent a lot of money to add him in free agency earlier this year. However, we don't think Glennon finishes the season as the starter. At some point, rookie first-round pick Mitchell Trubisky should take over. He's the future of the team and has looked great so far in the preseason. |
