Cincinnati Bengals QB Ryan Finley completed 7-of-13 passes for 89 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Week 15 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and he added 10 runs for 47 yards and a touchdown.

Cincinnati Bengals QB Ryan Finley will start Monday, Dec. 21, in the team's Week 15 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers with Brandon Allen (knee) ruled out with a knee injury Saturday, head coach Zac Taylor announced.
| Footballguys view: There was some optimism that Allen would be able to play despite the injury. That's not the case and Finley will get the nod instead. Finley is a tall, strong-armed pocket passer but his accuracy and decision making are big issues. That means Fantasy GMs should downgrade any and all Bengals skill position players they might be considering. |

Cincinnati Bengals QB Brandon Allen (undisclosed) was knocked out of the Week 13 game against the Miami Dolphins in the fourth quarter due to an undisclosed injury on a sack, so QB Ryan Finley replaced him to finish up.

The Cincinnati Bengals do not have plans to sign a veteran quarterback this offseason, according to head coach Zac Taylor. Starting quarterback Joe Burrow is 23 years old and backups Ryan Finley and Jake Dolegala are 25 and 23, respectively.
| Footballguys view: Burrow is the franchise quarterback and has elite-level ability he should be able to show from day one. Sure, there are going to be some rough patches and learning curves for the rookie but he's certainly got the ability to eventually be one of the best passers in the game. Burrow is smart, more athletic than some would think and his pass-placement is uncanny with how precise he is. Behind him, Finley has a bit of starting experience and is fine as a reserve. |

Cincinnati Bengals QB Ryan Finley completed 16-of-30 passes for 167 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens while adding five runs for 22 yards in his first NFL start.
| Footballguys view: Finley had a few throws to build on, but he is clearly a rookie and work in progress. He'll get an easier assignment against Oakland next week, but we will keep expectations low. |

Andy Dalton goes to the bench since the team isn't winning, and the Bengals get to take a look at Finley to determine whether or not he could continue to be a starter in the future. They are looking at a premium pick in the 2020 NFL draft and could be in the market for a premium passer. Finley is a big, tall, pocket passer with the arm strength to hit all throws required in the NFL. |
