Cleveland Browns general manager Tom Heckert dismissed a report from a Philadelphia sports talk radio host that the team was interested in signing free-agent QB A.J. Feeley (Rams). 'A.J. is one of my good friends, but I haven't talked to A.J. in months,' Heckert said Sunday, Sept. 2. 'I have no idea where that came from. I think we're pretty set (at quarterback). You never say never, but, yeah, we are pretty happy with the position.'

The Cleveland Browns may look to sign a veteran quarterback this offseason to mentor QB Brandon Weeden. Free-agent QB A.J. Feeley (Rams) could be an option if the team goes this route.
Footballguys view: The Browns still have Seneca Wallace on the roster but don't see him as the type of mentor they want for Weeden. Feeley has been in the league since 2001, yet is only 5 years older than the Browns' rookie QB. |

St. Louis Rams QB A.J. Feeley (thumb) suffered a right thumb injury in Week 13 against the San Francisco 49ers which will require X-rays Monday, Dec. 5. Gore sits at 7,396 yards and counting during his seven-year career.

Footballguys view: The 49ers defense is starting to clamp down on the pass as much as they do on the run. Feeley barely had a chance to get going in this mismatch. |

St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford (ankle) took limited repetitions in practice Friday, Dec. 2, before leaving early. His status for the team's Week 13 game is in question. 'He was very sore,' head coach Steve Spagnuolo said. 'As always, this will be a day-to-day deal. It's one of those that you hope it gets better every day. If we feel good about it Sunday, we'll give it a chance. All the scenarios are viable.' QB A.J. Feeley took the bulk of the snaps in practice Friday.

St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford (ankle) did not participate in practice Thursday, Dec. 1. QB A.J. Feeley took all of the snaps with the first-team offense.
Footballguys view: It doesn't really matter as the 49ers defense is a rough matchup and the only viable fantasy receiver for the Rams - Brandon Lloyd - also produced with Feeley at QB. |

St. Louis Rams QB A.J. Feeley went 20-for-37 for 175 yards and one touchdown against the New Orleans Saints in Week 8.
Footballguys view: Feeley was way off on a few deep balls to Brandon Lloyd, and then Lloyd dropped another possible long TD, so a better day was there for Feeley. If Sam Bradford can keep the momentum of this team going, he could be a nice fantasy play when he returns. |
A.J. Feeley player page

St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 8. QB A.J. Feeley will start in his place.
Footballguys view: AJ Feeley will start in what is sure to be another blowout. Steven Jackson and Brandon Lloyd seem like they might be matchup proof, but don't look for production from anywhere else in the Rams offense. |

St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford (ankle) was still in a walking boot Wednesday, Oct. 26, and may not even test his injury by Friday, Oct. 28, which makes it likely he will miss his second straight start. QB A.J. Feeley will receive the start against the New Orleans Saints if Bradford remains out.
Footballguys view: Brandon Lloyd and Steven Jackson are good enough to weather the storm and be playable options, but otherwise Bradford's absence would kill the value of any other receivers in the Rams offense and make it that much more likely that the Saints win in a blowout. |

St. Louis Rams QB A.J. Feeley made the start in Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys in place of the injured QB Sam Bradford (ankle), but he did very little. He completed 20 of 33 passes for 196 yards, no touchdowns and one interception.
Footballguys view: Feeley was better than Charlie Whitehurst and Kyle Boller, but that's about it. The Rams can't get Sam Bradford back soon enough now that they have a real #1 receiver in Brandon Lloyd. |

St. Louis Rams QB A.J. Feeley took all the first-team reps in practice this week, and he will start in Week 7 against the Dallas Cowboys in place of QB Sam Bradford (ankle). It will be Feeley's first NFL start since 2007. 'He's done a nice job,' head coach Steve Spagnuolo said Saturday, Oct. 22.
Footballguys view: Feeley isn't a recommended a start and he also sinks the value of Rams receivers today. |

Although St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford (ankle) is preparing for the team's Week 7 game against the Dallas Cowboys, he is facing an uphill battle to play. As a result, expect QB A.J. Feeley to start in the game.

St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford (ankle) was kept out of practice Wednesday, Oct. 19. Head coach Steve Spagnuolo is dealing with a high ankle sprain. QB A.J. Feeley got first-team reps in his absence.
Footballguys view: Bradford owners shouldn't get too spooked by Feeley taking all of the first-team reps. Most reports say the Rams expect him to start, and he should get a boost from the addition of Brandon Lloyd. |

St. Louis Rams QB A.J. Feeley (thumb, elbow) will not play in the team's final preseason game, reports StLouisRams.com.
Footballguys view: This means another start for rookie Sam Bradford. If he continues to impress then the Rams could decide to make him their starter for the regular season as well. |
A.J. Feeley player page

St. Louis Rams head coach Steve Spagnuolo won't make a decision on a starting quarterback for awhile longer, reports the St. Louis Post-Dispatch's Bill Coats. 'Every time they go out there, they're being evaluated,' Spagnuolo said. 'We've always said we're going to play the guy who we think gives us the best chance to win. We'll see at the end of it. We've got this game and one more, against Baltimore.' QB A.J. Feeley (thumb, elbow) has completed 66.7 percent of his passes and has a quarterback rating of 107.6, but he won't start Thursday, Aug. 26, because of thumb and elbow injuries. QB Sam Bradford will instead start Thursday, but he has just a 51.6 quarterback rating this preseason.
Footballguys view: Sam Bradford should take over eventually in St. Louis, but he may have to wait for his time to come. If Feeley is healthy then he could begin the season as the starter, but Bradford should move into that spot sometime during the year. |
