However, FB Eric Kettani, CB Alfonzo Dennard, FB Spencer Larsen, OG Brian Waters, LB Tracy White, OT Markus Zusevics, OT Matt Kopa, OT Kyle Hix, OT Sebastian Vollmer, TE Aaron Hernandez, TE Visanthe Shiancoe, WR Brandon Lloyd, TE Daniel Fells, TE Rob Gronkowski, TE Jake Ballard and DLs Myron Pryor, Gerard Warren and Jonathan Fanene sat out. The New England Patriots could show interest in Oakland Raiders impending free-agent RB Michael Bush and Cincinnati Bengals DL Jonathan Fanene if they are available this offseason.
Footballguys view: Fanene makes sense because the Patriots need to improve their defensive front. However, their interest in Bush is a little puzzling. They drafted two RBs last year (Stevan Ridley, Shane Vereen) and are going to let BenJarvus Green-Ellis walk in free agency. Bush's price tag is going to be very high as he's looking to be a featured RB at the NFL level. |
