Seahawks | Seattle picks up Week 17 road victory    Sun Jan 3, 07:47 PM

Seattle Seahawks QB Russell Wilson completed 20-of-36 passes for 181 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in Week 17 against the San Francisco 49ers, while also running for 29 yards. RB Chris Carson ended up with a team-best 44 rushing yards on 11 carries, while adding two grabs for 39 yards. RB Alex Collins had five carries for 29 yards and a score, and WR Tyler Lockett rolled up 12 receptions for a game-high 90 yards and 14 targets. WR DK Metcalf was limited to 21 yards on three receptions, with TE Will Dissly leading the tight ends with 20 receiving yards.

Footballguys view: Seattle ended up stuck in the third seed no matter what happened in this game, but it was still positive to end on a winning note. They'll face the Rams, who have been a tough divisional matchup for them since Sean McVay took over.

Seahawks | Will Dissly practices    Wed Aug 12, 06:04 PM

Seattle Seahawks TE Will Dissly (Achilles) practiced Wednesday, Aug. 12.

Footballguys view: Dissly has flashed talent but has gotten hurt each of the last two years. We'll see if he can stay healthy and how he works behind veteran free agent addition Greg Olsen in 2020.

Seahawks | Will Dissly cleared for camp    Tue Aug 4, 02:39 PM

Seattle Seahawks TE Will Dissly (Achilles) passed his physical upon reporting the training camp Tuesday, Aug. 4.

Footballguys view: Dissly has talent but he's often injured. If healthy, Dissly can make plays for the offense all over the field. We'll see how he mixes in with veteran TE Greg Olsen who is going to be the starter and primary target at the position.

Seahawks | Will Dissly making good progress    Mon Aug 3, 04:50 PM

Seattle Seahawks TE Will Dissly (Achilles) is making good progress in his recovery but will be eased back into practice, according to head coach Pete Carroll. Dissly passed his physical at the start of training camp.

Footballguys view: Dissly has certainly flashed talent in his pro career. However, he's just appeared in 10 games (scoring six touchdowns) in two seasons. Injuries have prevented Dissly from playing up to his full potential. The Seahawks have added veteran Greg Olsen this offseason to lead the way at the position. Dissly is a high-value reserve for the team but has limited fantasy value for 2020. He's a good dynasty prospect if healthy and starting...so long as this latest injury doesn't rob him of too much athleticism.

Seahawks | Will Dissly on track for opener    Sat May 9, 05:24 PM

Seattle Seahawks TE Will Dissly (Achilles) said he expects to be ready for the start of the regular season.

Footballguys view: Dissly is a talented player but his first two seasons in the league have each been shortened by a major injury. Because of a knee injury as a rookie and this Achilles' injury from last year, Dissly has only played in 10 games in two pro seasons. If healthy, Dissly has talent to ascend to the top of the depth chart. However, the team signed veteran Greg Olsen in free agency and should be the lead tight end for Seattle in 2020.

Seahawks | Will Dissly likely to be ready for opener    Wed Feb 19, 02:06 PM

Seattle Seahawks TE Will Dissly (Achilles) is expected to be ready for the start of the 2020 regular season.

Footballguys view: Dissly has talent but he has been hurt in each of his first two seasons in the pros. He's back for the start of 2020, but with the addition of Greg Olsen we'll see him in more of a reserve role for Seattle this season.

Seattle Seahawks TE Will Dissly (Achilles) underwent surgery on his Achilles' on Thursday, Oct. 17, and head coach Pete Carroll characterized the procedure as 'really successful,' noting that Dissly will get back 'a good couple months' before the usual 12-month recovery time.

Footballguys view: We'll see what Dissly can do next year in training camp. His first two seasons in the pros have both ended on Injured Reserve. He had a knee injury as a rookie and had the Achilles' injury this year.

Seahawks | Will Dissly to undergo surgery    Wed Oct 16, 02:43 PM

Seattle Seahawks TE Will Dissly (Achilles) is scheduled to undergo surgery Thursday, Oct. 17, to repair his torn Achilles tendon, according to sources. He is expected to be ready for the 2020 season.

Footballguys view: That's two years in a row that Dissly's season ends on Injured Reserve...the only two years of his career of course. We'll see how Dissly bounces back next season. He was known as a blocking tight end at the University of Washington and has done a great job transforming his game into more of a receiving threat. We are wishing him the best and look forward to his return in 2020.

'Really unfortunate that we lose Will Dissly, who has been a fantastic part of our team,' head coach Pete Carroll said Monday, Oct. 14. Seattle Seahawks TE Will Dissly (Achilles) suffered an Achilles tendon injury during the Week 6 game and will not return.

Seattle Seahawks TE Will Dissly (knee) is good to go for Week 2, according to head coach Pete Carroll Wednesday, Sept 11.

Footballguys view: On Monday, Carroll revealed that Dissly had suffered a setback from the knee injury that cost him most of 2018. On Wednesday, Dissly is good to go. Alright, that's good news but Fantasy GMs have plenty of other options besides Dissly in Week 2.

Seahawks | Will Dissly back to work    Thu Jul 25, 05:03 PM

Seattle Seahawks TE Will Dissly (leg) was spotted running routes at practice Thursday, July 25, roughly 10 months after tearing his patella tendon.

Footballguys view: Dissly made an instant impact with a combined 10-6-147-2 receiving line in Seattle's first two games last year (most of that came against the Broncos), but his rookie season ended with a torn patella tendon in Week 4. We'll see if he can be healthy enough to win the top TE spot for the Seahawks in 2019.

Seattle Seahawks TE Will Dissly (knee) is expected to have a big role in the offense once he is fully recovered from his knee injury, in the opinion of Seahawks.com's John Boyle.

Footballguys view: That could equal some big plays, but he is just a desperation play in a run-first offense. His main contributions will be as a blocker.

Seahawks | Will Dissly the only lock at TE    Wed Jun 19, 02:24 AM

Seattle Seahawks TE Will Dissly (knee) is the only lock to make the 53-man roster among its tight ends, in the opinion of the Seattle Times' Bob Condotta, who gives the edge to TEs Nick Vannett and Jacob Hollister for the other two spots.

Footballguys view: It's funny that Dissly would be considered a lock for the 53-man roster when he hasn't even recovered from the torn patella tendon he suffered in Week 4 last season. Dissly won't be ready for the start of training camp, but reports indicate that he should be ready for Week 1 of the regular season. When healthy, Dissly will be competing for a reserve or (at most) rotational role.

Seahawks | Will Dissly will be ready for regular season    Thu Jun 13, 03:54 PM

Seattle Seahawks TE Will Dissly (knee) is expected to be ready training camp but may not be on the field for the first week or so, according to head coach Pete Carroll, who added there is 'no doubt' Dissly will be ready for the regular season.

Footballguys view: Dissly had a mini-breakout last year in the first month of his rookie year...although his best game did come against the Broncos defense who can't cover tight ends for anything. His rookie season ended with a torn patella tendon in Week 4. Dissly won't be ready to begin training camp, but it sounds like he should be ready before Week 1. He's competing for a reserve role this year.
