Seattle Seahawks TE Ed Dickson (quadriceps) has yet to practice during training camp due to a quadriceps injury, and head coach Pete Carroll said 'it's still a bit' before Dickson will be back on the practice field.

Seattle Seahawks TE Ed Dickson (groin) was placed on the Active/Non-Football Injury list Thursday, July 26, because of a groin injury he suffered a few weeks ago.

Seahawks | Ed Dickson agrees with SEA    Fri Mar 16, 11:36 AM

Updating an earlier report, free-agent TE Ed Dickson (Panthers) agreed to a three-year deal worth as much as $14 million with the Seattle Seahawks Friday, March 16.

Footballguys view: Dickson could be the primary receiving tight end for the Seahawks with Jimmy Graham in Green Bay now, but watch out for 2016 third-round pick Nick Vannett to give him competition in camp for the role. Either way, it's probably not a place to look for surprise fantasy value. Dickson has never lived up to his measureables after being overshadowed by Dennis Pitta when they came to Baltimore in the same draft class in 2010.

Carolina Panthers impending free-agent TE Ed Dickson and Philadelphia Eagles impending free-agent TE Trey Burton are expected to receive interest from the Miami Dolphins during free agency.

Footballguys view: Burton to the Dolphins has been out there for some time. They're going to move on from Julius Thomas and Burton is an emerging player in the league. He can catch, block and even throw TD passes (see Philly Special). Reports indicate 16 teams could have interest in Burton on the open market.

Panthers | Full practice for Ed Dickson    Thu Oct 26, 03:12 PM

Carolina Panthers TE Ed Dickson (ankle) fully participated in practice Thursday, Oct. 26.

Footballguys view: For a while, Dickson looked like a nice replacement for Greg Olsen, but the last two weeks have been shaky at best, with Dickson catching 7 balls for just 54 yards. The struggles Carolina's offense--particularly Cam Newton--is holding Dickson's upside down. He's a TE3 play at best this week, and there are much better options out there.
